I've been getting the little more expensive ones of this that have more of the stretchy bubbly sections. But these were a little less expensive so I decided to give them a try. They are pretty good on performance. I have had a things poke thru but no tears like with the really cheap no-name bags. Save a little money and buy them!
I generally always buy Glad trash bags because they hold up and they come without a scent. I do not like scented trash bags. These hold to my trash can and hold my trash without ripping.
Glad Tall Kitchen Drawstring Trash Bags, 13 Gallon, 45 Count are my favorite bags. They are strong and do not come apart. I have used them for years and years.
I've seen a few other reviews with the same sentiments. I've been buying the force flex bags for years, and they've been the best. I always buy the big 70+ packages because I can trust the product... but this last box. The seams on one side of almost every bag aren't finished properly. The quality also feels different since it was switched to the gray draw strings. I've only had a handful of the 40 bags I've pulled out so far be useful. On top of the bad seams, the bags rip at the draw string holes more. Something was changed about this product, and it's not as good. My wife and I were confused for a little while wondering if we had been buying a different brand before because of the big quality difference. We also buy the larger heavier duty trash bags, and those seem to be the same quality as before. You would get five stars if the product quality hadn't fallen so far... you get three for now because of the history, but truly I was angry because I couldn't even throw away the junk bags because I didn't have a good one in the box to put them in.
Only bag I buy but the quality has went downhill. I will not buy again. Look at photos. Trying to post photos but so far I cant figure it out. Wanted people to see my bag is ripping everywhere
I have used these bags for years and loved them. But since the company changed them to the black pull string the bags seem to be a lot my weaker and the tie string always rips! Im on bag number 48 of 140 and 40 of the ties have ripped as well as the seams of the bags. I very disappointed in the new bags and wish you would go back to making them more durable rather than trying to save money and cut corners.
For the longest time I have been using Glad Tall Kitchen ForceFlex Drawstring Trash bags, 13 gal size, 120 per box. This is the 2nd box in a row where the bags are ripping at the seam when I try to install them on our trash can. I have had no difficulty in the past, just with the two most recent boxes. If you examine each bag as it comes out of the box, you can see small holes right at the edge of the seam, even before there is any stress put on the bag whatsoever - see attached photo. Once the installation begins, about half the bags will just rip the seam wide open – those that do manage to get installed have holes near the seams and will often fail while trash is being stuffed in or upon removal. In my opinion, something has changed. These used to be strong and amazingly reliable. Now I can't even get them installed into my trash can – what gives? I will have to quit buying them if this continues – I can't afford to throw half of them away. Please advise!
"Stretchable strength"? Seriously? Did the person who wrote the ad ever actually use the bags? I highly doubt it. I have bought your trash bags for years and loved them. The last 2 boxes I bought have been terrible! The bags rip before I even put them in my trash can! I have had to throw away a lot of your bags because of holes and couldn't even use them. The ones that I have been able to use can only be filled about 1/2 way up, and we still have to be extremely gently when removing the bag from the can and putting in the can outdoors. The drawstring rips out of the actual bag all the time - again, even when barely half-filled. This is absolutely ridiculous - I will never buy your bags again, after purchasing for over 20 years. After reading a few reviews, it looks like everyone has the same problems. Why haven't then been recalled and changed?
I usually always buy Glad trash bags as well as other Glad kitchen products. However after this last purchase I may change. These bags are faulty to say the least. Every one when I pull it out of the garbage can the drawstring is apart from the bag. Hard to close after that.
I've used these for years and loved them. The last box I bought I noticed the tie had gone from red to black an the bag was MUCH weaker. Now no better then the cheap bags out there. They might have saved a penny or two making them, but will loose a lot more in sales, as people have to clean up the garbage off the floor, from them splitting.
