quality construction, easy to put together, tough as nails!
As expected. Works well with the trac.
I had Gear Boxes in my last house's garage, so decidex to add same the the garage in my newly purchased house as they are the greatest storage setup I have seen. Sturdy, very clean looking and just the bee's knees. Instalation was fairly simple, did not take very long and they look especially nice with my newly sealed garage floor.
Was easier to assembly than I expected. All parts were provided and all fit well together. I initially had trouble with aligning the holes for the mounting bracket until I moved to the lower position. Duh, my mistake. I called the 1-800 assist number and received excellent assistance.
I ordered these for my husbands tools in our garage. I have since purchased even more of them! These cabinets are built to last the rest of our lives and my husband could not be happier! These Gladiator products are made of real steel, they have powerful magnets that keep the doors closed and are extremely good looking for your garage man. Gladiator products are the best I've seen, I'm so happy I got them, and even on sale!!!
These are fairly light and thin cabinets compared to wooden pressboard types which are very heavy. I purchased these because they are light weight and easy to hang with the slat boards. They are attractive and a good solution to store oils, chemicals, paints, etc.
I have a Gear Box bought in 2010 and wanted to add another one. This is similar but I found many differences. The metal is not as thick as my original one. The box is 2 inches smaller in height. The door stiffener pane from the original is missing. So it seems cost cutting has made the box flimsier. But in terms of utility it is comparable. It even has a wire connect hole which the original did not. Still a good product.
overall satisfied, only downside to me was hanging with out the track system. would have been an added plus to include screws for this and also a slightly better design on back for screws. they had a few holes for drilling to wall but you had to follow the stud and couldnt place anywhere you want. considered buying the track system for this hut hung on one i currently own and it tilted forward without placing something behind the bottom of the cabinet. over all satisfied but providing better hardware for self hanging OR something to place on bottom corners to keep from tilting I might have gone ahead and bought more track
Pro- grade of metal okay; instructions reasonable, but not great; some adjustability to shelf Con-much too expensive for the average quality of unit; closing magnet to doors too weak; should come with spacer on lower part of back to accommodate for hanging bracket depth above otherwise the bottom leans back and unit is out of plump; electric wire hole in base should be on both sides
Since I haven't received pretty hard to rate.
