This knife caught my attention because of the Damascus pattern and blue wood handle, but after using it, the cutting performance is what impressed me most. It arrived very sharp and slices cleanly without requiring much pressure.
I've used it for everyday prep with vegetables and meat, and I especially noticed the difference when slicing tomatoes because the blade cuts through cleanly instead of pressing them down.
At just under 8 inches for the blade and about 13 inches overall, it's a substantial chef knife, but at approximately 0.46 lb it doesn't feel unnecessarily bulky in my hand. I like the balance and the shape of the handle because I can maintain a comfortable, controlled grip while chopping and slicing.
The specifications list a 67-layer Damascus construction with a 10Cr15MoV high-carbon steel core and 60 HRC hardness. I can't personally verify those manufacturing specifications, but I can say that the blade feels solid and the edge performed very well during my use. The hammered finish, Damascus pattern and deep blue handle also look even nicer together than I expected.
This is the kind of knife I prefer to hand wash and dry promptly rather than leave soaking or put in with other utensils. The edge is extremely sharp, so it deserves careful handling.
What makes this one stand out for me is that it isn't relying on appearance alone. It's beautiful, comfortable to use, and most importantly, it cuts very well. That's what I wanted from a chef knife, and so far this one has delivered.
