Bought for Church First Aid Kit!

Amy February 5, 2026

We bought this to have at our church in the first aid kit. The diabetics in our congregation and our family say it has decent texture and helps quickly.

Faster and good for denture wearers

Amy June 26, 2025

Brings blood sugar up fast. I use these because I can't chew the tablets because of dentures. I wish the manufacturers would put more packets in the box for the price but one packets works as opposed to two or three tablets and faster.

Very convenient to have on hand. I have not had to use one yet, but they are easy to keep handy in case of emergency.

Kid %26 Parent Friendly, not Budget Friendly

Jack October 3, 2025

I continue to purchase this product regularly because I have two type 1 diabetics in my household, who always need to have something like this with them incase of a low blood sugar. That being said, this product is small and easy to carry with them, and quick to get down. The main reason I stick with this as a go-to is because my very picky pre-teen daughter will carry them and use them without complaint, which is not a common experience for us. The drawback for me is that at $1.33/pack and 15g of powder/pack, long-term recurring purchases of this product are far more expensive than if I selected a different "go-to" product for their low blood sugars. Let's say I need to have enough for each of my diabetic family members to have 2 low sugar episodes/week... that would be approximately $11.25/month or $135/year. Yes, I know I am a frugal person... but if you have read this far down in this review, I'd say you might be as well. Anyways, to put the above into perspective, an equal amount (15g carbs/serving) of a generic Apple Juice (for example, Great Value 100% Apple Juice) (which would accomplish the same purpose as this product) would cost me approximately $1.08/month or $13/year-- which means this product is approximately 10x more expensive than the alternative example here. So, you are paying mostly for the convenience. Overall this product is very convenient, also expensive in terms of value for money.

Awkward and inconvenient

anonymous June 5, 2025

I didn't like this product at all. Although the flavor itself isn't bad,the pouches can be difficult to open and the envelope makes it difficult getting the powder into your mouth without spilling it everywhere. When someone's blood sugar is too low, they need a quick dose or two of glucose to get it back up until they can find proper food to eat. We can't be fumbling around with shaky hands trying to open up a foil pouch. If the powder was more grainy and in a tube, like a Pixie Stix, this product would be much easier to consume.
