This was delivered yesterday so I can't attest for weight loss effects yet; however, the caffeine definitely kicks in quickly. It blends much easier than some other protein drinks I have tried so you don't have to shake it for several minutes to get it to mix... and when it is mixed I haven't been finding chunks of undissolved powder as with some other brands. It has done a good job stifling food cravings so far, and it tastes fairly good for a protein powder. The mocha flavor has a hint of instant coffee kind of taste so don't get your mouth set for an actual coffee flavor, but if you splash a little milk in when you mix in the water it definitely mellows the flavor out.
Keep the hunger away
Been using the lean Shake +slimvance stim for a few months now and it is great. I particularly like the mocha espresso. It is a great breakfast and coffee substitute. The shakes mix well and are not overly thick or heavy. These are a definite must try.
I love this product!! I have lost 70lbs with using these shakes. But GNC can you please please make vanilla one with the slimvance and caffeine!! PLEASE!!! I like the strawberry banana it taste great! I just wish I could mix it with different fruits if I am making a smoothie.
I got the chocolate one. It was a bit thick for my taste but this shake was VERY tasty! And in the few weeks it lasted, I saw a significant change in my weight loss goal. My energy was also increased. One of the things I recommend is to put it in the fridge before drinking. Tastes very yummy when it's cold - but most shakes do. I would buy again and try blending it so it's not as thick & clumpy.
The strawberry-banana flavor takes getting used to and doesn't shake as smooth/quick as other proteins. However, in a smoothie, this protein is AMAZING as long as it gets blended well. I find that one scoop doesn't satisfy my hunger, so that's why I'll just used it as a pre-workout in a smoothie since it contains caffeine. I only consume 1-1/2 scoops a day and it's only been a month using, but have already had a few people at the gym tell me I look slimmer than before. Have not lost lbs on the scale because I have a lot of muscle, but can see a slight physical change. Will keep using!
Wanted to give it a try since I typically use Lean Shake Burn. The flavor is ok but very artificial and the texture is grainy. No noticeable difference in my appearance. If youre looking for a shake before working out, this isnt it. Will most likely be making the switch back.
The taste is good. However it tears my stomach up. I drink it slowly over a couple hours because I know protein shakes can irritate your stomach if you drink too fast. It still jas my stomach i knots all day long and i only just drink the 1 at breakfast. Also it does NOT keep me full. I am hungry like a half hr later. I made a smoothie with almond milk, oats and a banana and that helped with the hunger but my stomach is still messed up. I really want to like this product but I just can't tolerate it.
I like coffee and espresso, but I'm not a snob about it. This stuff tastes somewhat like coffee but it has a horrible smell and aftertaste. Had I known I could return it in 30 days even after opening I would have. Now I'm just looking for ways to get it down. Tried mixing it with some coffee and almond milk and that was somewhat bearable. I like the peanut butter chocolate and cookies and cream flavors but this one is just awful. Also, if you are lactose intolerant at all, this WILL upset your stomach if it's empty.
I have used GNC for over 20 years. I have updated my online account and ordered many things without a problem. I ordered this today and the website was acting odd, very slow and not loading right. As I was placing my order it would not take, finally after several tries it submit. Then it shows it is going to an address that I deleted out of the website two years ago!!!! So I called GNC figured it would be a quick fix. GNC tells me they can not cancel the order ( I just ordered it, called them immediately), it has to ship to that address. This is crazy. I just placed the order! Now the only solution they offer is for me to call back once it shows delivered so they can address the problem...the problem I am calling about right now trying to save everyone time and money!!!! GNC has lost me as a customer after this. A company that can not fix something as simple as this, should not be in business.
