Go Brewing has hit a home run with their Disarm Hazy IPA. One of the "characteristics" of any other "hazy IPA" I tried was, well, it wasn't hazy. And hazy isn't just about the look. I appreciate the hoppiness of the Disarm as well. I have been searching for the NA IPA that would help me maintain the AF lifestyle. This one is it!
Not sure if it is the addition of lactose, but it produces a solid head, and has the mouthfeel of a regular Hazy IPA. No thin metalic aftertaste. After trying this I ordered 2 more six packs and 2 of the Tropical IPA. I hope to make it to the taproom soon.
I've tried many NA IPAs and hop waters from several brands and nothing else comes close to The Story for me. This makes me want to choose an NA option and has allowed me to dramatically reduce how much alcohol I drink. Bonus points that it's 1/6 the calories of a full abv IPA too!
I have ordered Go Brews multiple times and decided to grab a couple 6 packs when we were in Naperville. Once we got home and I opened one I noticed the taste wasn't quite as crisp. I sent an email with the born on date and they replied that night. Within a couple days I had a replacement 6 packs delivered. I was so pleased with the service I ordered another 5 6 packs and a 12 pack of the electrolyte water, which is extremely flavorful and refreshing after a workout. 5 stars to the best NA brew around
First off, this brew is the closest to a legit IPA I've ever found. Will be a staple in my house from now on. Second, I can't say enough about the team at Go Brewing. When a previous shipment was first lost by the USPS, and then later arrived damaged, they didn't hesitate in sending replacements and keeping me informed throughout it all. For something that was completely out of their control, and not their fault, they fixed it. That's good business and overall accountability in my honest opinion. I only wished I lived closer to where their taproom is. Many thanks from Massachusetts!
I gave up beer with alcohol in it six years ago, but still enjoy the taste of beer. This Hazy IPA is the best I have found yet, and tastes just like the real thing, sans the alcohol!! A nice touch of citrus and other fruity flavors really hit the spot. Pours and looks like a true hazy should. Bravo, Go Brewing!
Unfortunately, this is one I wasn't impressed with. This beer pours bright Orange and looks way more like a juice than a beer. Zero head with the exception of some large soda-ish bubbles from an aggressive pour, no retention. Nose is super Mango juice forward with Peach and tropical notes in the background. Mouthfeel is really thin which is made worse by the visual appearance which makes you think it will drink thicker. Taste is bitter, unripe Mango that definitely seems more juice-like than beer-like. If you like super juicy, fruit juice forward beer, then this might be for you, but I'll stick with Go's Pilsner and Hazy.
I've had very fresh real (with alcohol) Hazy IPA's before that were "Green" or too young and grassy tasting, but I've never experienced this in an IPA. This beer is just packed with grassy, organic bitterness from hop compounds. The astringency sticks to your tongue and you can't get rid of it, you just have to wait it out. Normally this type of off-flavor would drop out over time, but I doubt you could sit on this beer long enough for it to be tolerable. This one is not for me... Note to the brewers, if you aren't already doing this, try some advanced hop products in this guy, something without all the actual organic material. This beer taste like way too many lbs of T-90 per gallon, you can fix this!
I received my six pack of the story, a double IPA non-alcohol brew. Personally I was very disappointed with it, it just had a funny taste. I'm not sure if it is one of the hops that they used in it, apparently it is citra, Simcoe, and something else I don't remember. I will not be purchasing any of this anymore. Maybe some of their other brews are good, just personally I did not like the double IPA one and I'm a little nervous about buying any other other stuff. I'll stick with the non-alcoholic IPAs that I have tried already.
This has got to be the worst beer NA or otherwise that I have ever had. Tastes like scorched rotted fruit with a metallic aftertaste. Just terrible. I will never buy another product from this company but something tells me they won't be around long anyway.
