Interesting that the other reviews say the same thing by two different customers. This is better suited for medium size cats. Sturdy and easy to put together. Mine was cat tested and approved.

Purchased this for our 9lb British Shorthair who needed somewhere to climb. It arrived quickly and was very easy to put together. I did so in about 20 minutes, found the instructions very clear, and appreciated that they provided all tools necessary to complete the job. It is quite a tall tree and isn't as wide as I had expected it to be. Our guy loves it and uses every area. The toys rattle and are on elastic cords, so they're easy to play with. He's a smaller cat and fits perfectly in the top bed. There is no padding anywhere on the tree, it is just a soft fur fabric over wood. It's not a 5-star product as it's not the most stable thing in the world. The top bed is only held up by one post, that is attached by a ~2"" screw. So every time our guy jumps up, the thing wobbles and he is quick to lie down. If you have an active cat that will be flying around, this may not be the best product, or may need to be anchored.
