Had this kennel for about a year now, houses a 4 yo, male American Pit Bull Terrier, 85lbs and a 2yo female American Staffordshire Terrier, 69 lbs with room to spare. Neither has ever "escaped". Still holding up as well as the day I bought it. No issues with the tray, although it has always had an orthopedic pad in it (also purchased at Wal-Mart). Simple to put together and fold up. I have done it several times with no issues. My female was a rescue and she can get a bit "excited" sometimes. Not a single bar has bent or even given a little against her weight. My only issue was with the divider. I may have done something wrong in installation but I could never get it to work properly.
I am using this product to properly train my two dogs and they are happy and have plenty of space and their training is going successfully.
It is a quality product at a reasonable price
We had a single cage big enough for our boxer. We decided to get this cage so we could have both the boxer and our newly adopted female pit in one with a divider. She is smaller that him. There is plenty of room for both in it with the divider and we were pretty happy with it overall. However, I do wish it was a little more heavy duty. One day we came home and it looked like we had caged a bear in the side were the pit was. She had shoved her way out the bottom of the door and bent it all up. Nothing was damaged so bad that it couldn't be bent back into place though. The boxer now has the entire cage to himself.
I needed crates in which the door opened from the opposite side of every other crate on the market. I ordered 4 of the Go Pet Club Metal crates because they had the feature I needed. Disappointed in the gauge of metal used, still pretty flimsy once it's assembled. I would definitely not use these for a large breed puppy. Some of the wire welds were broken, Hayneedle is working with me on that currently. I love Midwest crates, but the door hinge is on the wrong side for my needs. Not sure if I'll keep these or not. My brother has pups to separate, so he may benefit from these.
Its thin, as in not sturdy like previous crates my 8 pounds puppies are flexing the walls already. Tray is thin
I plan on returning this dog crate for it is very flimsy and unsafe. We use these in our van to take our dogs to shows and agility trials and the crate would not protect our dog even if we had a minor accident. I'm not sure it would hold together. We will be receiving a more substantial crate from another source.
The metal is weak and the weld is even worse. One would think since a large kennel is made for a large dog (i.e. strong dog) that it would have been constructed with such facts in mind. My puppy is 7 months old and has already broken the weld at the bottom of the large door and is able to easily push the door open. I am extremely dissatisfied with this product!!
