I love the backboard padding because it's saved our hands from getting bruised! We play on a lower rim and our fingers would always hit the corners and hurt pretty bad. But now with the padding, it's saved our hands and also looks amazing!

We are so glad we added these backboard pads to our hoop. They make the hoop look really sharp and professional looking but also keep our kids safe while playing so they don't hurt their heads or hands against the backboard. They are super easy to install. They are made of a really rugged material and are very durable. Great purchase.

This pad gave my goal a more professional look, and it was easy to install. I've been most impressed with how well it's held up. About 1 year in and still looking great! I would highly recommended this pad.

Fit our backboard well. Need to drill into backboard frame to create holes for screws. Needed a strong drill and bit to complete that. Overall, very satisfied.

The backetball systems we purchases 5 years ago offed the backboard pad, which is a good idea which brings saftey to the product. Also, when the hoop is lowered, fro some of us that can't "dunk it" makes it nice to know you won't hurt your head. It is very simple to assemble and protects the backboard glass. My sons play hoops all the time and this feature you don't see on other backboards which help me when I decided to buy a Goalrilla systems.

The padding is of good material however the metal strip inside the padding could have been atleast galvanized. The strip inside my padding became rusted and corroded in just a few years.

We are only 3 years in and one of the screw holes on the plastic ripped thru leaving it hanging. Tried removing the screws and one completely broke leaving half a screw in there. I had to go buy a locking plier and lubricant to remove the remaining part of the screw, it was a nightmare. The padding is not water resistant at all, the insides are pretty much rotted. Don't understand why they would use such cheap screws for this when everything else used much better non rusting screws and bolts. Good luck finding matching screws at the local hardware screws. Closest I found was size 10 stainless steel in similar length. Seeing the price of replacement padding and I'm floored how expensive. Very disappointed in this poor design and extremely expensive replacements after only a few years.

Had this for a few years. While it lasted it was fine , once it required replacement the screws had rusted in place and were a night mare to remove. Now reinstalling a new one and. the same holes could not be used so securing it was very difficult and makes swiss cheese out of the aluminum frame. I would leave it off unless you intend to leave the backboard lowered lowered
