The fence/gate itself is sturdy. The opening of the gate is narrow. I have it installed from one side of my room to the other. It was very unstable. The installation is terrible to say the least. The screws are cheap and kept stripping. I had to go to the hardware store and get different one. One mount bracket was ruined because the screw stripped before i could screw them into the wall completely. Couldn't get them back out either. Had to cut the bracket off the wall with the screws stuck in the bracket. Would not recommend.
a lifesaver in the kitchen to keep our dogs from snatching food off counters when you're back is turned for a second. well made and attractive.
