Godzilla: The Showa-Era Films, 1954-1975 (Criterion Collection)

What a wonderful collection of the Original Godzilla, Yes, some are serious, and a lot are hokey, but that is the fun of watching the movies. These are Criterion made. so they rescanned the prints. These are crisp picture and sound. The only thing, most of them do not have the English dubs, but I have found the movies subtitled are better than I remember with the English dubs

This set is high quality packaging and a complete set of the original movies. Mine arrived in excellent condition and on a cost per movie basis is an excellent value.

Some of the movies I have not seen in a long time. I have started one disk a day and have enjoyed each one so far. I grew up with these movies.

This is such a cool collection. Criterion always creates a unique experience for physical media, and this has to be their best work yet. The quality of the book is top notch, the illustrations and colors are gorgeous, the Info for each film is fun to read (really feels like you're reading a Godzilla comic) and the discs offer great quality enhancements for both picture, quality and bonus features. My only gripes are that they don't have a 4K remaster and I rehoused the discs into jewel cases because I didn't want to wear them down in the book sleeves.

The product arrived in a timely fashion and for a good price! I have a son whose just getting into Godzilla movies and having a whole hit collection of them to keep him busy will be fantastic.

Nice collection, 15 movies, with plenty of extras. Good for Godzilla fans. Movies are subtitled some are dubbed. The boxset they come is very nice but large, I got a CD keeper to put the discs in and put the boxset on the bookshelf.

Received the package that was dropped off by FedEx. This is the real deal, well packed and originally from Criterion. Opened the box up and shrink wrapped, inspected if the Discs were damaged or had glue remnants. None what so ever, tested the secind disc which had King Kong and played with ease. Will give a second review for the rest of the remaining discs for outcome. Thumbs up for Wal-Mart well detailed.

It's really nice havig all the Showa era Godzilla films in one place. Criterion always put out the best products. You know the picture and sound will be top quality. I liked how big the packaging was too, I was expecting something much smaller. It's nice to see the king of monsters get the treatment these movies deserve.

The packaging is the only issue. It wasn't in a box or anything. A piece of cardboard was taped around the box. When I picked it up it fell right out of the packaging. Which caused the book to have a dent now.
