These are going straight to the car, where they will always be available for those "little things" that keep coming up. Perfect size to be useful without being overlarge for the use, such as strapping trunk lid down when carrying overlarge loads, but also easily stored when not in use. Straps are solid and the buckles well made and able to securely fasten the loads as needed. Not for huge jobs, but perfect for all those small-to-medium uses that come up so often.
I've purchased similar ones before to strap down my kayak. They are easy to use and come in handy for many applications. I would purchase these again in the future should I need to.
these are well made straps and very easy to use good quality product in my opinion 👍
The straps work well for securing boxes in transport.
appear to be well-made and sturdy.
I ordered this two-pack of tie-down straps to help manage some materials in my workshop and for light transport in my vehicle. These straps are 16 feet long and 1 inch wide, which provides plenty of length for most common tasks. The build quality of the webbing feels good for light-duty applications and there's no rubber that would break down from age. I found that they work good for securing small bundles of lumber or keeping items from sliding around. The fit of the cam buckle onto the strap is snug, though I noticed the functionality has some limits. When I applied significant manual tension, I was able to cause the strap to loosen slightly in the buckle. Because of this, these are not suited for heavy loads like tying down appliances in a truck bed. The size makes them very versatile for bundling and organization tasks. They are very easy to use compared to bulky ratchet straps, especially when you just need to cinche something down quickly. They were easy to install around my cargo, and the spring-loaded teeth on the buckle grab the ribbon effectively for basic tension. But, keep in mind that there's no hooks on the ends like you would find on ratchet straps, so that may be a limitation in some situations. For the price, the value is good. I give this product a 4-star rating and I recommend it.
This 16-foot strap is only 15 feet. That's a bit of a gyp. Luckily, it still fits our 14-foot needs. Other than the length, it is a good strap. We can't test its full break strength, but we'd call it a light duty strap. The weight and feel of the nylon webbing reminds us of backpack strap versus, say, thick dog collar webbing. It's still tough, though. It's funny that the tag says to avoid sunlight when these straps are commonly used outdoors. We use cam straps as extra wind security to tie down outdoor covers. It should work fine for that light purpose because it is equivalent thickness to the old worn strap. That strap served for many years, so we hope the same for this new replacement. Actually, the buckle looks stronger than the old strap because it takes a firm push to open it and inside are the grabber nubs. The box-stitch reinforcing looks sturdy, and the foam padding is a nice upgrade. We also appreciate the little drawstring storage bag for the off season. This should be a 5-star cam strap for light to medium tie-down jobs, but we're taking off a point because the size is not accurate. That's important in online ordering. We measured our object at 14 feet, so we ordered 16 for plenty of cinching leeway. At 15 feet, we have barely enough leeway to make it work. If someone needed 15 and ordered the 16 just for that little bit of leeway, they'd be real upset that this strap wouldn't be long enough to cinch. The moral of the review is to always size up several feet when ordering straps. You never know when specs are going to be rounded off or manufacturers are going to cut short. (PS: The order confirmation said it was a set of 4 straps. We received a set of 2 to review. That's fair, and this point did not affect the rating. We're just documenting what we actually got.)
Ordered a 4 pack and only got 2 straps, get this resolved and I'll change my review
