I have struggled since my weight gain but this has solved the problem of friction rash. Now that I work out daily, it helps to keep those sensitive areas dryer.
I ordered this because I kept getting chapped under my arms and this has worked great. I am sure it had to do with the heat here in South Texas, but nothing else solved the problem, so glad I took a chance and ordered this product. I will be keeping it on hand.
I was working a job with a ton of walking and my inner thighs were getting wrecked from friction. This stuff was a lifesaver! It can sting a bit at first if the area is really rashy already, but it does the job of preventing further friction damage and lasts a long time. Even after a 12 hour shift, it was still working.
Winter is almost here, and this affordable anti-chafing glide stick is a must-have. As a runner, walker, rider, and hiker who loves the outdoors, I've used Gold Bond Friction Defense for years. I never do a long run without it to prevent blisters on my feet or chafing in other areas. No more bloody t-shirts!
I swear by this product!!! Everyone in my family uses it. We use it to protect our legs from getting a rash from too much playing in the water. You know, when your legs rub together and are wet and get irritated. We used before going to Disney Typhoon Lagoon waterpark, and it was a life saver. Even at the beach with sand and salt water it still protected us from getting a red rash from playing in the water all day. My husband never complained once from a wet bathing suit rubbing his legs. I put it on and feel much more confident walking around in my swimsuit. It makes your skin glide instead of stick together! We used it on my 2 year old niece used it so that she didn't get a rash from her swim diaper rubbing her legs. It's seriously GOLD!
I have plus-size thighs and this stuff really makes wearing skirts and dresses more comfortable during the sticky summer months. Less expensive than other brands, too. Someone recommended that users not roll it up as far as one might their deodorant sticks as it is a softer consistency and might break off. It works - doesn't last forever but easy to reapply.
So you have some fat inner thighs, or other areas that rub against each other and end up burning. Maybe you're trying to workout and lose weight but wearing shorts it hurts when you're rubbing together. This stuff makes that issue go away instantly. When getting dressed simply wipe product on inner thighs and the little area where the butt meets the legs and no more pain. Not greasy, not shiny, invisible, doesn't mess up your clothes, even black shorts. No scent. It looks like deodorant but its not. Don't hesitate to buy and buy lots of it. Even people who are in shape get inner thigh chaffing (especially runners) Thanks gold bond. I bought this in store in the first aid area of walgreens but walmart has it cheaper so thats where i get it now
I bought a stick of body glide and gold bond anti-chafing for a friend-who was having a horrible time with chafing when wearing new work jeans for a new maintenance job. She said she tried one on each leg for a couple of days and the gold bond definitely worked better and was actually a larger stick.
I really wanted to like this but it clogs pores of my skin, and the anti-friction qualities are debatable. It's just a thick layer of goo over your skin, it doesn't make it slippery. On the contrary, it makes it sticky and clothes cling to it.
This stick is too hard, it's hard to rub on and my skin doesn't 'glide'. Skin is softer but not enough to prevent chafing. Also, it doesn't last. I guess I'm a bit harsher on my review because I know what a good chafing stick feels like and even though this one is about half the cost but it just doesn't do the work.
