Golden® GAC 400, 8 oz.

The gac100 is a must have for those who paint on wood panels. Two - three coats per side, with at least 12-24hrs in between each coat for precautions since everyone's environment is different. If you think you'll get away with a smaller bottle, you won't. Go for the bigger ones. I have a 16oz solely for the drizzle cap & then refill it from the 32oz jar. Hesitant to order the gallon, due to warehouse not packing orders with caution on previous orders.

I've used GAC 500 for decades. Sadly, Golden Acrylic Paints has discontinued it, as their source for its binder has ended its production.

I use GAC 500 as my medium with acrylics. I hope they do not take this off the market.

This is a great product for tightening up stretched canvases. And for replacing rabbit skin glue.

Works well for thinning acrylic paint for Fluid Art. Very nice consistancy and drys smooth and bright.

This is great to priming wood panels!

This emulsion has good hardness without being too brittle. It has good leveling and optical properties. I use it to coat wood & fabric before applying contact adhesive to bond the two.

I hadn't known about using GAC to treat unfinished wood substrates until a fellow artist told me. Now I apply it to protect my paintings from damage from wood.

I actually meant to order the 800 instead of the 100 but will order 800 next time. I wish I would have caught it before submitting my order but am using the product and getting ok results

Used this on stretched canvas in preparation for an oil ground. It's not a bad product but I was hoping it would have tightened the canvas a bit more but it seemed to do the opposite. It did seal the fabric and will allow the fabric to hold a rigid shape. This would be a great product for sculpting fabric.
