Red saffron seems to be the new trend in ingredients lately with many recipes calling for it. I started to use it in tomatoe based recipes and find that it could easily be replaced, substituted or eliminated without any loss to overall taste. That said, saffron arrived in a nicely packed tin and threads were easy to crush.

I have used this saffron to make biryani's and badam milk , kheer. It has given the perfect color and blend in all my recipes.Hope to use it in other recipes also and will love to have this in my kitchen again.

I've bought two cans of this saffron. It is priced reasonably and very good for adding a unique flavor and color to foods. I've really enjoyed using it as a sauce for pan-seared sea bass using white wine, lemon juice, and garlic. Delicious. I've also used it to make saffron rice. A great product!

When I have bought saffron from grocery stores it has always been over packaged and over priced. This was neither - a little plain glass tube crammed with the golden strands that turn rice such a beautiful color. I'm delighted with this purchase and will not treat saffron as such a “special” ingredient now it's so affordable!
