this is ideal for people who suffer with Multiple Sclerosis or other conditions. since i have a curl bar and triceps bar these have worked well with those. once again the Gold's Gym name has not failed to live up to the tradition.
I bought this for light weight, more reps. You get 2 -25, 2 -15, and 2 -10 pound coated cement plates. I bought mine on rollback for $39. It includes a two piece barbell, not ideal, but for the price you can buy what you need individually. For example, if you need more weight than the 100 pounds, you're going to have to have a solid barbell anyway. Bought seperately for $30-40 from WayFair. Having done so, this set with the solid barbell now is still cheaper than any other weight set I have seen with plates of the same size and quality. If you need smaller weight increments, say 2.5 and 5 pounds, buy the golds gym 40 pound dumbell set for $20, you get 4 -2.5 and 4 -5 pound plates which is also cheaper than buying the plates seperately; not to mention, the plates are the vinyl coated ones that won't RUST. All and all if you shop smart, you can get two handhell dumbbells, a two piece barbell, one piece barbell, 4 -2.5, 4 -5, 2 -25, 2 -15, and 2 -10 pound plates for, in my case, $99.
very good item for tge price never found anything like this in a store at this price...
The barbell is a great value for the price and is perfectly functional. I use it everyday and am happy with it. The only complaint that I have is the barbell comes in two pieces, which required taping together to keep the pins in. Although that sounds dodgy and looks unappealing it functions great.
Worth the money. good for bench press!
The weights roll when you lift because the bar is metal and weights are plastic. The bar is put together with pins they give and fall apart. We taped it together and it woks fine.
