No more paper
I had one of these years ago, and then moved, and I don't know what happened to it. But I thought I don't have to buy paper filters anymore. These are excellent they're well-made. You just wash it out and they're great. IMO

Good replacement filter
The gold filter saves from having to use paper filters, and that is a good thing! It is a smidge too big for my Braun coffee machine, so it sits up in the basket just the smallest amount. It did not cause any issues, it just fits differently than the original one.

Works well but don't grind the coffee beans too finely, or some will slip through the mesh, as with French Press

It's not really made out of gold...but it's ok.
Just got it. I usually make coffee and set it the night before. First night I go to use this new filter, I didn't set the timer...obviously that's not something I usually do. I blame the new filter. Other than that, it's fine.

Poor Quality Control
Quality control must have been on vacation that day. This filter works, but it is certainly not of good quality workmanship, I can't believe anyone would actually put this in a box to be shipped out,
