this thermometer is made to take the guesswork out of how far to put it in. it goes in perfectly with Vaseline and quickly gives a reading, not a very long wait. I have used this on my mini Australian Shepherd also my very tiny Yorkie. I am very happy with this purchase.

Use on my kittens and it's so easy and they put up no fight getting their temperature taken. Have 5 kittens, and 2 are one year old and the rest are younger. Wish I had found this thermometer a lot sooner. Absolutely love it.

Read my pregnant dogs temp as 98.9 three different times which led us to an emergency vet visit where their thermometers showed 100.8 This mistake cost me $400
