This rain barrel couldn't be easier to 'assemble' - which is simply attaching a screen and two spigots. It looks really nice in our yard, and is a great size to collect rain from our garage roof. The hardest part about getting this set up is sawing through the gutter if you need to shorten it to match up with the top of the barrel. I love that this includes a planter, we are putting marigolds and citronella in the planter to repel mosquitoes from the water source (the screen will help with this too!) I will say, the images online make this barrel look like it has a flat back to it, but in reality it is a fully round barrel. A flat back would make less space to hold water, but it would be able to snug up to the house a little better if there was a flat spot. Either way, I'm happy with this purchase and would buy again!

I love the way this looks next to the house. I will be buying a pump to get more pressure for a hose hookup but works like a charm and use the collected water every day. If you are concerned about mosquitoes use the planter on top of the barrel for mosquito repellent plants (such as lemongrass or geraniums)

I got this for my daughter-in-law for her birthday. She loves it. Quality construction, easy to set up and start using. The only problem is that in Michigan, it needs to be emptied and put away for the winter...but not a product defect - Mother Nature's fault! It is a great savings for watering gardens!!

I was pleasantly surprised when these 4 rain barrels were delivered. I couldn't be happier!! Not only are they attractive, and the faucets were so easy to install. I can't wait to use the gray water from my downspouts instead of household water on my garden. I would sure recommend these & the price was phenomenal!!!

I bought two of these at the same time. One did not have a hole drilled through for the upper region of the barrel to allow for drainage of any planting I put in the top so I had to drill the hole myself plus find and install a drain hose to fit the opening. The second barrel had no sticker to tell me that the hardware was inside the barrel and I thought I was going to have to buy them myself. Bad first impression. Otherwise, I'm hoping for a positive experience this summer.

We love them but you can't plant in the top like the picture shows. The top fills up with water not sure why it wasn't designed to drain into the bottom. If you want plants they will have to be in a planter. Purchased the terracotta and the green, not crazy about the green but will be purchasing 2 more in different colors.

This is a nice design for a house that can't use an iconic old fashioned ""barrel"" design but isn't so bland as to be an uninteresting addition to your landscape. It arrived as stated on the day it was supposed to. I gave it four stars only because the edges of the ""wood bark"" design looked a little worn and maybe that the repackaged spigots indicated it was a return. But since it's an outside item, I'll overlook the wear since it will probably get some wear-use eventually and wasn't worth trying to re-ship and exchange the item. I think once I get a plant on the top it will be very nice.

Looks nice on my porch and works well so far. We haven't had any heavy downpours yet so I'm wondering if I'll have issues with water coming out the downspout faster than what can drain into the barrel. Easy to put together. Although, we had to trim some plastic from the catchment hole, otherwise the screen would not lay flat.

I would have rated this rain barrel with 5 stars if only the rain actually all went into the barrel. Most of it splashes into the overflow area and into the area designed for a plant. Luckily, the plant I placed into that space, I left in the pot it came in so all that over-run doesn't completely drown the plant. Nice thought but the design needs re-engineering. Was not difficult to set up. Most of the set-up was sawing off the rain gutter down-spout. Easy to level. It's just all the water splashing everywhere. We get really heavy rain at times. This huge amount gushing down will make this rain barrel ineffective and for sure, drown the plant. If it had been designed to have a diverter, it would work so much better. Unfortunately, I couldn't find that type that didn't look so awful so I opted for this style. Not a good choice!

When this arrived it was NOT the color as shown online in this picture. It was a light gray. I started the return process but then my neighbor ended up buying it from me and I have ordered a new one in dark brown. Hopefully it will be better.
