Good Ideas Impressions Palm 65 Gallon Rain Saver - Black

I'm a 68 year old retiree and installed this myself in 30 minutes. It blends in well with the surroundings. I attached a soaker hose and it started dripping as soon as the water level reached the upper faucet. Very pleased with the experience.

Very easy to put together and install. We already have more than half a barrel of collected rain. I made a bed of river rock in front of it to disperse any overflow and it works beautifully.

So far the rain barrel has been great. Easy to assemble. It has not yet rained so we'll see how it works once it does

nice looking! i would have given 5 stars, but there is a hole for the top part to drain, i am guessing. This hole goes down the front. It is a bit too high for it to drain all the way. i planned on putting "fake flowers" in the top part to make it easier to remove if needed, but i am now concerned with the standing water. if you did plant flowers in it, i think dirt would plug the hole. we wondered if we were missing a part or something anyway super cute, serves it purpose.

I BOUGHT TWO A MONTH AGO AND DELIVERY WAS QUICK. THEY ARE SMALLER THAN MOST AT 50 GALLONS, AND BASICALLY PLASTIC BARRELS WITH TWO BRONZE SPIGOTS. THEY DO HAVE TO BE SOMEWHAT ELEVATED TO GET GOOD FLOW, BUT OVERALL WORK WELL. HARD TO BELIEVE THAT PLASTIC BARRELS COST SO MUCH BUT THESE WERE PRICED CHEAPER THAN I HAVE SEEN THEM IN THE STORE.

This seemed like a great product for a great price. When I received this item I was very happy with the appearance and quality. However, there is no way to fully open the barrel to be able to wash it out completely. The only openings concist of two on the side for the hose hookups and a small aproximatley 3in diameter opening on the top (with an attached screen) where the water from the drain should be directed to. I cannot imagine having a rain barrel that will contain stagnant water at times that cnnot be properly opened and cleaned from time to time.

this item looks very cheap - like ugly cheap plastic. it will likely finction fine, but not cute or esthetically pleasing at all. if going for style, keep looking.
