Good Ideas Rain Wizard 50 Rain Barrel Stand - Green

Just installed the 50 gal barrel and stand two days ago. No rain as yet to test but am anxious to have it work. This will save water and help keep my garden beautiful. After investing thousands in professional landscaping this is the best product I found to keep the plants alive.

I ordered the rain barrel that matched this stand and they compliment each other nicely. I wanted to have my rain barrel raised so I could put a watering can under it to fill for watering my plants. Works perfectly. It's big as this stand supports a 50-gallon rain barrel.

Love, Love, Love the rain barrel! I purchased oak, it is pleasing,matches the base nicely, blends in around my plants. Very useful to divert extra rainwater down driveway(hook a hose to the spout) in spring to keep my side yard dry, and save that water come summer!!

Since barrel and stand are in front of the downspout, the stand needs a ""tunnel"" through the middle so it can straddle the downspout where to takes the water out on the lawn. As it is the stand has to be placed on cement blocks so that the downspout can pass underneath.

It was very easy to get the barrels installed and ready for use. Had a bit of a problem inserting the spout because the cut hole and threads didn't line up perfectly. Glad we also got the stands. Need to put a watering can under it for watering some plants, and the stand makes that easy. Also helped when leveling.

The stand works well with the Rain Wizard Rain Barrels and puts the barrel at a perfect height to get a watering can underneath. You should definitely get the stand if you are purchasing the rain barrel.

We have receicved the Rain Barrel Stands and they seem to be very well made and sturdy. We have not been able to rate their effectiveness as yet because we have not yet received our rain barrels for them.

I have no complaints with the stand. It only just rained, so I don't know how it will stand up to the weight of the new rain barrel I also bought that goes with it. Working with Hayneedle is very easy.

There is a defect in design...when the rain wizard is affixed as per instructions...there is a deep recess where water from the rain is collected and there is no way to discharge the water. There is some evidence of drain holes only on one of the two I purchased. Had to add drain holes top and bottom on both...otherwise it would become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Added pellets as well.

I purchased both the stand and rain barrel. After 1 summer in the Florida heat and a full rain barrel the stand slowly collapsed to the point the barrel would no longer stay upright.
