This kitchen utensil does what it is supposed to do: lift food products out of either boiling water or perhaps a cauldron of cooking oil. They grab the fish filet or french fries by the handful, letting the excess oil drip off as you hold it above the pan. The only trick is finding the proper dishwashing method and liquid to use to avoid white residue. That varies from machine to machine.

I've been using it to lift pasta out of the boiling hot water rather than trying to pour into a colander. It's so much easier than trying to hold a heavy pot full of boiling water and trying not to get burned. And there's one fewer item that needs to be washed - a colander.

Received my wok-strainer. I had not ever had one. It appears to be of good value; good quality, very nice. I like the design. I have not fixed anything yet that requires the strainer. But I am anticipate using it for a few years at least. I love stir fry veggies.

It's so small I was so disappointed when I saw it you are looking for one that's bigger and can hold up lots of stuff and don't pick this one but if you want something small than this is recommended for you It's so small.
