My hands don't work quite as good as they use to so when I happened to stumble across this while browsing I figured I'd give it a shot. I am so happy that I did as it made a world of difference. Easy and simple to use and seems to be made exceptionally well. Highly recommend
The color is great, but only if it works. The part that touches the garlic is liftable and easy to clean. I am challenged with hand strength, so keep that in mind. I can still squeeze a lemon/lime though so this worked out for me. I have small hands and was still able to do it. Tip: move the part left inside and resqueeze, squeezing more than one garlic clove at a time is possible. Just cut the big garlic cloves in half.
I have been happy with other Good Cook products. One of the reasons why I chose this product was that it was dishwasher safe. I was worried about the quality because it is inexpensive. After after a few uses, I am seeing stress fatigue on the pivot point. (See picture) When squeezing,it seems very soft.
What a waste of money. From the looks of it, there should have been no problem, but the way the two halves meet when pressing the garlic left too much space to get a full crushing. It ended up just smashing the garlic flat, making me stop to clean it out and cut what was left. It also is super hard to press even a little bit, so if you are weak in the arms, forget it. Spend a little more for something better.
Please don't waste your money. Just squishes the garlic and doesn't actually press it out of the holes. I still have to mince the garlic with a knife after pressing it. It gets stuck inside, I believe the holes might be too small for the garlic to come out.
Absolute garbage. Entire handle is made with plastic. The only stainless steel is the small, extremely thin gray, which is so flimsy the garlic cannot push through the holes. Do not waste your time or money.
this item does not crush garlic. It smashes it flat inside but never makes it out of the press. if i could give 0 stars, i would. I guess you get what you pay for
I was expecting this product to mince the garlic as pictured but it just mashed it, leaving the garlic inside the press instead of coming out of the holes. Disappointing
This was seriously a waste of money. You cant press garlic with this plastic handle, feels like its going to break and garlic just squishes in it and doesnt press out. you are better off chopping them up with a dull butter knife.
The plastic is a bit flimsy and it can be a real struggle to press the garlic through due to the shape and lack of grip. Manual cleanup is a hassle too due to the press not having pins to push the remaining garlic from the holes, so most of the time there's garlic that's stuck that needs to be taken out individually with a toothpick.
