I love this baking stone. It's big enough for your large pizza. It cooks your pizza even. Nice crust. Love the rack that comes with it. I buy frozen biscuits and they never cook even. I decided to try them on the baking stone and same oven beautiful. These were the best biscuits ever. I want biscuits all of the time now. Well worth the money. I would recommend.
Very sturdy clay pizza stone! Metal Rack makes it nice to use to serve. GREAT price! Easy to store in bottom kitchen cabinet on its side, out of the way when not using.. and thats nice. Bought 4 as gifts very recently and everyone loved them. I did "pizza night" gift themes.
It makes the crust crispy. The only problem is getting the raw pizza transferred without tearing it up. But we are working on it! Great addition to the kitchen
I bought this last year and it is still holding up. I never thought I would use it this much its low maintenance and it works. When I make pizzas you get that great homemade crust and it's also great for store bought pizzas.
Easily stains but that's fine with me. Does it's job. I keep it in my oven all the time to help even heating.
photo shows a cutter which is NOT included. mine arrived with a chip on the edge but for the price...it didn't crack after a few uses so seems to work. it's very porous so expect stains from pizza drippings. don't use soap, just use hot water and a nylon scrubber
At first i thought that I am getting an actual stone that appears to be white in color. Misleading pictures let me to believe that. Anyways, what you get is a light pink looking porcelain tile base which is quite porous. Not sure what the material is but everything tends to stick to it. Though my piazza did turn out to be crispy (you have to wait a few minutes after taking the pizza out from the oven) but cleaning this stone is a headache. Everything wants to stick to it and you have to literally scrape things off. Also note that if you are use to baking pizza directly on the rack, with the use of this stone, you will need to add 3-5 mins more to the cooking time.
Yes, your pizza will stick a lot the first few uses. It starts to stain with grease and look awful but it actually helps the pizza not stick as much. So it will eventually become good at getting that cripsy crust and not sticking as it ages. I just rinse it with warm water and get any stuck bits off scrubbing with a brush, no soap as it might absorb it. However, my big concern from day one is the awful chemical smell it puts out when hot. The fumes or whatever it is is so strong it will set off the smoke detectors when opening the oven. The smell is still lingering in my entire condo 2 days after this last use. At this point even though it is finally functioning well, I am concerned with health issues if that smell/chemical is getting into the food. I will no longer be using it. Others here have mentioned this stench. Its in the stone itself as it had the smell before any food was ever placed on it to cook.
I tried to follow the instruction precisely but unfortunately broke inside the oven while warming it before the second use. it's okay to warm pizza but not for cooking. you get what you paid for
came broke super thin, sent it back for credit at store and bought somewhere else bed bath had a much thicker more durable one that was yes more expensive, but well worth it, this one is not
