It is a bright, almost pastel purple color, which definitely gives it a winter vibe. The clips were pretty sturdy, and it can hold quite a bit of hair. It didn't slip or fall out. This is a large bow, measuring over 4 inches long, so I wouldn't recommend it for babies or toddlers. But it's great for school aged girls to adult women.

I think this clip would be super cute in a childs hair if you have a girl. It says it has slide proof which I expected there to be like little rubber strips throughout the hair clip that prevented it from sliding like you see in most headbands but it didn't. Other then that though I think it's a cute clip. The bow size on on the actual clip is large so as long as you don't mind large accessories on your hair clip it would be cute.
