This is by far my most used and favorite crank I own. Love it so much I actually own 5 of them in case of a snapped line
I caught 3 species in 30 minutes on this thing yesterday morning. Got a 2-1/2 lb smallmouth, 2 decent largies and a smaller walleye. Later caught a bunch of smaller striper. Very sad to say though it broke off on what im guessing was a larger walleye. I need to order 2 more Asap just in case.
Cash Craw is right! I like having craw colors to fish with, and the fish like the craw colors that I choose! The Cash Craw Banger in the 3/8 oz. size is a must-have in the tackle box. I fish mine around (and through) grass and weeds. I catch (no kidding) Pike, Bass, big Bluegill, and Big Sunfish on these lures. My son caught all of the above AND a red-eyed rock bass. They work, and you should have one in your tacklebox. I use a medium power, medium/moderate rod, and a 12 pound braid. It works for me and I do not miss many fish.
I bought the Ghost Gill Googan Squad Banger because that color is just plain money with the fish. The 3/8 oz size is my go-to, although I also have a Grande Banger in the same color. I fish with a medium power, moderate/medium action rod, a 7:1 Shimano SLX reel, and 12-pound braid (Fireline) with a 25-pound snap. It's a combo that works well for me. I fish in a lake that has plenty of bluegill and crayfish, so I tend to stick to those colors. This iteration of a bluegill color is awesome and the fish really seem to pick up on it in the water. Fish it along the edges of weed beds, bang it off of the rocks, drag it along (and under) docks. It'll get the job done.
I like sriracha as much as the next guy, but this does NOT taste like sriracha. Do not lick this expecting the great taste of sriracha to flood your mouth, it won't work. Plus, you might get a hook in the cheek. Or tongue. Either way, not good. In all seriousness, though, this is a unique color that covers both the natural color and the bright color for fishing. It shows up well in turbid waters, and it looks equally at home in clear water. Fish get mesmerized by this bait and bite into it like it's covered in the fish equivalent of sriracha. Fishracha? I dunno, but they do seem to hit this color where I fish. Fish it like any crankbait, but with this color presentation, banging it off of some rocks seems to produce better results than in the weeds. With crankbaits, I use a medium power, moderate/medium action rod, 12 pound braid, a locking snap and a 7:1 Shimano SLX reel. Whatever you decide to use for your crankbait fishing, you should have a multi-purpose lure like this one.
Didn't catch any on this one but seen it work well :)
Picked these up to pair when fishing for pike and Largies in the Saginaw bay. Works amazing
The Googan squad banger is a crankbait all on its own. There are many like it but none that I've experienced that attract the fish quite like this one. I have many crank baits in the tackle box but this one is always the first one I run too. Highly recommend.
Worked well will bass. Got many bites.
Looked great in the box! I casted it about 5 times and noticed that the bait turned into a top water wake bait. The square bill broke off after just a handful of casts. I use all googan plastics and gear, but it t seems like their hard baits are not a good choice for your money. Love googan but maybe check out another similar model!
