Great and easy to use/setup. This is the device Chromecast Ultra should have been. With a nice new interface and a handy remote as well, easily streaming all media from any smartphone, computer etc. Also works well with the CyberLink PowerDVD to cast all your videos, photos and music directly to you TV.
Google Chromecast with Google Tv is fantastic screening device. I used all chromecast, this chromecast is amazing. Easy to install and 4K HD clarity give you feel that you are in movie theatre. Moreover, there are more platforms such as YouTube, Apple TV, Netflix, Amazon prime, crave, Disney and many more.
This is a significant improvement over the original Chromecast. It is an awesome product that replaced my bedroom cable box and added so much functionality to my TV. This device is for anyone with an older, non-smart TV that wants to take the viewing experience to the next level.
Google TV works well. However, Shaw's Blue Curve TV can not be casted to the device consistently at all. In all fairness, the Chromecast Google TV is not listed by Shaw as a device to use with Blue Curve TV. I took a chance and lost.
Google Chromecast with Google tv is the best streaming device you can buy. Good price. Always works with no lag. You can program the remote to power on/off and adjust your tv volume.
This is a very good product and is a great way to "extend" movies, tv shows and programs to another TV in a room that has no cable hookup. There are also quite a few free streaming TV channels, which makes is great if your main TV is already on cable or Fibre. The only challenge with it, comes in with trying to bookmark movies you want to place on a view list of sorts for all of the streaming channels of interest and then recall them for later view. It is a real hunting operation for recalls later in some cases. A more multi channel integrated and friendly recall system would be a great upgrade.
I have a Roku and bought this because I can get two apps not supported by Roku. Roku is about half the price. This is easy to install and the remote has good features.
Went from gen 1 to this. So much faster, and the voice assistant and remote are great additions. Only crummy part is no Netflix integration on Google TV.
Pros: A decent device that works and has a fast response. You can quickly access the main tv apps like, youtube and netflix and many others. The cons: It does not appear to have a "pause" button, and the volume buttons are on the side of the device making it awkward to use.
The only thing good about it was that it was offered free with the Tv I purchased. You have to cast everything from your phone or tablet. Most Tv's now have mirroring which all this is. #sweepstakes
