Great product from a great reseller. Thank you so much! #sweepstakes
Love the nest hub! controls heat, a/c, lights. And plays music to boot!
I love it. I have two, one for my kitchen, where it helps me with recipes when cooking and I play music while doing so. I have a second one in my bedroom. I love the clock, knowing the weather, lots of things. I don't mind cleaning now because I do it while listening to music. Great buy!!!
It works. Its what I would call boring. It doesn't usually have a problem, and does everything I expected for a device of the price. What impressed me was features I didn't know about, such as the ability to use it as a mini monitor for casting your phone to it. I'm impressed enough with how it performs in my bedroom that I am considering purchasing a Nest Hub Max for my kitchen as well.
I really like being able to see stuff on the screen. Especially when someone arrives and I can tell it to show me my front door camera. The biggest downside for me is that you couldn't view just any recipe on the screen. It's a big drawback for me because i was really looking forward to this instead of unlocking my handheld devices to view everything as I go.
The Nest Hub is a great picture frame style device for small spaces like bedrooms or studies. Audio quality is ok, Hub Max is great, and if you are looking primarily for a speaker would suggest the Max or the Next Audio. Otherwise this is a nice expansion piece for my nightstand without having the camera of the Max.
I usually don't buy the newest gadgets, i wait awhile for the price to drop. The Google home was the exception. As soon as it came out i bought my first one. It was just the speaker, then came the Google Assistant display and the Mini speakers. I now have them in every room. This review is for the Display. I have one in the kitchen and one in the bedroom. I love them. It is a bit of a learning curve. But to get the most of yours i recommend at the very least going to You Tube and watching the latest help video. No technology is perfect but thru updates it gets better. It sometimes doesn't understand me but i do talk to fast at times. It saves me time by adding to my shopping list, making calendar events and sets reminders, i even use it for phone calls. My biggest complaint is it doesn't just answer my questions, it wants to teach me the answer or how to come up with the answer myself. This is annoying when i just need the answer quicky. Otherwise i do love my Google Assistant.
Over all, the Hub is okay and I like that you can call up YouTube videos on it. However, I got the Hub mostly for its integration with the Hello doorbell. It's a bit disappointing in this regard bc it only shows the doorbell feed when someone rings the doorbell. It doesn't show you when someone walks up to your front door if they don't ring. Someone could just be standing in front of your door
Google should improve on this device to get my 5 stars. Functionality is limited. Hub has improved connection to other electronics such as television etc but lots remain to be done. The screen is laggy. Connection requires improvement, although I have the top most tear of Comcast/Xfinity wifi that is available for residential use. It seems that a lot of features can be added, which I hope over the years will improve if not months.
I really only use it for my lights, timers, and shopping list and it can't even do any of those painlessly. It's constantly mishearing me or telling me that it doesn't recognize my voice. Very annoying, I am considering just switching to something else
