Google Home Speaker - Smart Speaker with 360 - Degree Sound and Gemini For Home Voice Assistant - Porcelain

I can't live without my Google Hone. It automates everything in my home. It keeps my ADHD manageable. I am still confounded by the app sometimes, but where else could I go?

I like it alot!, the music quality is great. I also think gemini works pretty well. I dont have any smart plugs etc yet. so I dont know about that part. But if you need a good assistant or listen to music on etc. you'll like this.

I am enjoying my first smart speaker. Plays music and talk radio on iheart radio with simple request. Great 360 sound for the size, plenty loud for my condo. Also able to cast from my phone to play mp3 music. I recommend it.

I bought this after my Nest Audio speaker died. Although the sound quality isn't quite as good, everything else about it is a major improvement.

I can't say that I'm not disappointed… My sole purpose for purchasing this Google speaker was for it to announce motion detected by my battery-operated Google Nest Doorbell. Unfortunately, it doesn't. It actually advised me to set up the skill on my Alexa devices. Really, Google?! Please do better. 😩 On a lighter note, it will give you a verbal summary of motion events—and very descriptive summaries, might I add! I also love that I can cast music from my YouTube Music playlists directly to the speaker.

not much different than the old ones

As a speaker, it works well but as an assistant, Gemini leaves a lot to be desired if you use the speaker as an alarm you can't change the volume at least that I've found you can't change the sound for the alarm it's advertised as ability to have more complex conversations but it can't handle more than one sentence at a time.

OK, I waited a while to review this thing. I've been with Alexa since 2014 so I wanted to check something else out because with the new AI plus stuff I feel like Alexa seriously dumbed down. But this thing….. I kind of really don't even have any words don't buy it. I guess that's the only words I have to say don't buy it. I absolutely love and I mean love Gemini on my phone. I even love my Google search AI engine this maybe I was expecting too much because I love the other two but there's no comparison just don't bother the best thing about. It is the pretty lights that turn while it's thinking.

Too many bugs. Been in contact with Google Support and resolution kept getting put off. This device is not ready for "prime time". Bluetooth bug that was reported months ago on release date still an ongoing issue. Returned.

Wallmart added a massive tip to my delivery order and after 3 hours can't be changed. almost $20 tip for my delivery!
