We struggled with Alexa speakers for years. When I installed a Google nest mesh router system they stopped working for any streaming functions. Purchased these units- easy setup and flawless operation.

Works well. Sounds broader and more full than a mini.

Great product! You talk to it and it plays whatever you want it to, and it will also tell you the temperature, time, facts, translate words/phrases into different languages for those who are learning, everything your google assist does, it can do, but without having to pick up your smartphone. It has very sensitive hearing and can hear you from two rooms down. The alarm volume has to be set on your smartphone. The only gripe I have with it, is that it will continually play music when you just tell it to play one song, and I haven't found a way to make it stop doing that, but all you have to do is tell it to stop, and it will. The sound is full, it was an easy set up, it works well with YouTube Music, it even acts as a blue tooth speaker with my smartphone, which is a nice feature. I'm very happy with this product so far, no regrets, good price, nice neutral color.

5 stars on the device. It sounds awesome; as good as a hi-fi system from the 80s (not quite as loud, obvi). It looks great, it was easy to set up. Honestly, this thing is pretty great...BUT - the software is pay-to-play. There are parts of this thing that are intentionally throttled and only open up if you pay for a subscription. I understand commercials, and they want to make money, but it feels like a total ripoff to give me a thing that has intentionally locked basic-functionality behind a paywall. The things that are locked are casting and playing specific songs (even ones you own). Pretty fundamental stuff being locked for a cashgrab :-(

I bought two Nest Audio speakers to upgrade the audio on my TV that gets its signals from a Chromecast. I created a group with the Chromecast and the two speakers, and assigned that group to the audio setting in Home on the Chromecast, per Google's support pages. Alas, no sound comes out of the Nest speakers. The combination is an abject failure. On the bright side, the speakers do work like overgrown Minis, and can stream my favorite radio station when we aren't watching TV.

The speaker is great. It plays music well, much more robust that the original home. Google assistant though seems to have gotten much worse and slower over the years at understanding basic commands. Integration with YouTube music should be seamless, but I have given up on voice commands and instead cast from my Phone when I want to listen to anything. Radio station playback is also poor at best when attempting to listen to anything specific.

Have 3 speakers and love the sound when paired. Only issue is an annoying popping noise out of one speaker in particular. Comes and goes and if you search the boards there are quite a few people with the same issue. That aside, love the sound quality and everything else about it.
