Great product for the price, shipping was super quick and right to the door.
I'm really happy with this product. I bought this because of all the add on options with the google home and also because my family all has google phones. The sound quality and picture quality is great. I've used it often for cooking and it will walk you through the steps as you go. I also use it to listen music and ask various questions. The set up took a little bit longer than i anticipated and wasnt 100% smooth but also wasn't super complicated.
I got this for my parents for our cottage as a Christmas Gift, in conjunction with a Google Nest. They LOVE the combo. Its in the kitchen and my dad loves the novelty of just telling it to play some music or turn the thermostat to whatever. Its cool that it plays the music videos for whatever song is playing and I like that it can pull up recipes and stuff for me while I'm cooking. I bought a second one for me at home.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We have several Google home minis at home and my family and i consider that at least one nest hub is a good idea. We used it at the kitchen which is the place where we stayed the most and we ask Google about weather, news, alarms, timers, recipes, supermarket list, songs, videos, games, maths, history, word definitions... A lot of stuff.
For the past few years I was hesitant to buy this as in my mind this was an unnecessary splurge, since you can pretty much control everything in your phone. But I'm an iphone user and my whole house is smart and my hubby has it set up on google home since he's more of a tech savvy than I am and he prefers android... We have the google mini in other rooms of our house but in the bedrooms it's hard sometimes to ask for something when someone else is sleeping or you're just too lazy to open an app etc etc so this mini tablet is a life saver and also works as a cute picture frame and alarm clock. Whenever it gets dark in the room it adjusts so it's not bright to disturb you on your sleep.

Walmart is a fun place to shop and walk around.
It's more reliable than Gen 1; that is, the software works better. It's a good value. Our older Gen 1 is good too but has some error in handling Keep Lists that this version does not.
I bought it when BF sale. After one month using, I feel Pros: 1. Large screen 2. Decent speaker 3. Easy to handle smart devices at home 4. Easy communication between cellphone and smart hub. Cons: Google assistant is not as sensitive as I expect. Some times I need to repeat twice to wake it up.
Have multiple google home devices in the house, have never had an issue setting up before. After hours of messing around and finally getting it set up it started messing with our geeni compatible devices (flickering lights, turning off and on outlets for a second). Unplug the nest hub and the genie issues go away
