Google Nest Mini + Smart Plug 2nd Generation Smart Speaker - Snow

Thanks to my subscription to Spotify I got a free Nest Mini. I use everyday and have my MacBook Pro connected to it via Bluetooth. The sound quality is great. The Google Assistant works fine, especially when I figured out how to not have my Pixel 5 to respond when I said "Hey Google." The Nest Mini is an outstanding smart speaker and will serve you well.

I have several of these set up around my house. I have two that are paired speakers, and others that are single. It so great to have music throughout the house. It reminds me of the intercom system my grandparents had when I was growing up. But so much more versatile.

I was very hesitant at first but then I received one as a gift and I use it daily at home when I'm doing work or just chilling. My mom actually loved it so much I ordered her one so she could use on the weekends when she's home cooking, cleaning, etc. She loves listening to music, especially golden oldies. Plus I love the fact it responds to her commands even though she says hey googoo. Lol. I even brought one for my classroom and we use it every day after rug time.

This was purchased so I could communicate with the baby app that I use. It's so much easier and accurate than using just my phone to talk to. It also helps with me logging activities at the correct times when talking instead of typing it into my phone later once my hands are free. Would definitely recommend this to a new parent that wants to keep a slight record of when your little one last did something. I plan on utilizing it with other Google apps as well!

I have two Nest mini, one I keep in my office and the other beside my bed. The one beside my bed I use to stream music 24/7 at an ultra-low volume. This tends to focus my sleeping mind on peaceful dreams.Hint: use the form "stream blah, blah" instead of "play blah, blah" to get access to your YouTube playlist.In my home office, the Nest mini is mostly used for hands-free Google look-up tasks. I only recently learned it can also bluetooth connect to my PC so it can function as another bluetooth speaker as well as a streaming output. Mega-bueno, Google!These Nest mini both connect to my Google Hello doorbell. I can tell the UPS/USPS/whomever delivery that I'm coming but slowly; if they're in a hurry they can leave the package and go on but are welcome to wait.These Nest mini have made a positive change in my everyday life. They are usable even if you aren't tech savvyMy only question is: Hey Google, when you gonna port vi(1) to these gadgets?

I love the ease of calling up some music in a specific genre. I only gave it 4 stars because sometimes it doesn't cue up the music I want to hear. Last weekend I wanted to hear Mozart. Nothing. Beethoven. Nothing. Ok well how about Vivaldi? Yes! Not sure what goes wrong in those instances. Mildly annoying.

My G.E intelligent smart lights were working fine, until a couple of months ago. I had to reset them almost every day. They became too unreliable, so I went to manually again. They (mini) work fine for answering questions, music and even phone calls. They became too unreliable for automatic lightning. So I'll wait until the technical issues get worked out.

I don't know if a firmware update has changed device behavior, but these things are a waste of space. They don't "hear" well. I find myself constantly repeating myself, even after adjusting sensitivity. Pairing two of these is a great idea...but that's where it stops. Broadcasts echoing between paired devices, not being able to stream from or chromecast to the pair leaves them even more useless. Will look to upgrade hardware at some point as we are a Google-centric home. But 6 of these will be e-cycled soon.

I can't keep this connected and it constantly resets daily. No matter what I've tried, I can't seem to keep this connected to my phone from one day to the next, causing me to set it up everyday again, and now recently its just not working. This is essentially new and hardly used. Without the issue, probably 4-5 stars.

I used my Nest Mini all the time. It was working great for a while, but suddenly disconnected itself from my WiFi network. I reconnected it, but it kept disconnecting itself. It finally just stopped working on it's own and I have no idea why. Never had an issue with a Google Home mini.
