Google Nest Nest Mini GA00781-CA Bluetooth Smart Speaker, Google Assistant Supported, Carbon

[Employee of walmartcanada] Upgraded from the Home Mini and I'm glad I switched! Much nicer sound out of the nest mini 2. Wall mount on it is sleek and a welcome addition.

I bought this Mini for my husband who has Macular Degeneration and is almost blind and it has been the best gadget I could have gotten for him. He asks it for the time and to play music for him, etc, etc.

I used to think of this as a gimmick device but with more 10 smart bulbs/fans/tv/vacuum and a black friday deal, we finally decided to buy one. And we could immediately see the benefit in controlling all our smart devices. Previously any visitors to our home needed to be given google home access but now they can be just given voice command to turn off/on certain device. We also use it for checking weather.

A great improvement from the first generation that understands much more without having to repeat myself. It can even hear my commands from across the house! Seamless connection and excellent sound. Very happy with this product and use it daily to check the weather, turn on lights and play music.

This works very well. Is everything we thought it would be. Follow all instructions when setting this up.

Good sound, really like it, ask it anything, you will get an answer may be funny! Wish it would work off my Mac too!

this really is a great little "smart" speaker: quality build, some weight, Google Assistant via wifi, can control other devices via bluetooth, pretty good sound with decent bass.. it is very handy.. it's main fault is that it DOESN'T have aux-in jack so it can't be used with simple 3.5mm cable

i have Three Google Nest Mini Gen2 and I bought my first one in 2018. these units should be a lot Smarter by now with Constant Learning, as the units keep telling us. they are basically ID10Ts compared to SIRI or google on my Telephone. The one thing they do have is a kind of Personality compared to Alexa, which is non existent, and yes I it.

I bought this unit from walmart on Black Friday sales. It only works when the wifi connection is good, but unfortunately most of the time it stays offline though the router is fairly close (5m, no obstruction). Switch to 2.4G or 5G does not resolve the issue. I have tried to reset the device and it worked right after that, for a short while, before dropping offline for no apparent reasons. Power cycle solves the problem, but is not an option in the long term. When it is offline, Google Home (iOS) cannot control it. Weirdly enough, the bluetooth also has issues. My phone is sitting right beside Google Nest, connected via bluetooth, and the speaker will play for a while before stops working. It is quite frustrating experience to work with this unit. Google should really improve their product to be more reliable! Or maybe it is time to turn to other brands.
