Great Battery Life and Smooth

mdavidf June 4, 2021

The battery life of the Pixel is phenomenal when compared to my Galaxy S21. Also, the scrolling is much smoother on the Pixel. The only thing I don't like is not being able to create folders in the long list of apps.

Very satisfied

merrifie May 13, 2021

For a so called budget device, I've been very happy with the 4a 5g.It's also my first pixel and first Android phone. The switch from an older iPhone took some getting use to but I'm very satisfied with both and glad I make the eco-system switch. I didn't have other Apple devices and used many Google products so that made things much easier and integrated my daily use of tools/apps.

Amazing phone!

Nathan May 10, 2021

Sleek, super fast. The camera is great! Portrait mode is the best out there. Having all the Google perks come with the phone is so convenient. 10/10 recommend!

Could be just a bit better

Wehr May 10, 2021

I love the phone. The only improvement I would like is an easier way to return to the main screen. Using the swipe sometimes deletes something, usually a text, that I didn't necessarily want deleted.

Pixel 4A5G

doubletee2 June 7, 2021

So far excellent battery life just 5 days in. Missing wireless charging but the sacrifice is worth it since I believe that is the cause of battery swelling in both my previous Pixel 3 and 4. The phones got very hot when charging and that has to be what did them in. Glad to be back with fingerprint reader like on Pixel 3. Pixel 4 face unlock and gestures were extremely frustrating and irritating for me. Finally turned it off and left phone unlocked and used back button settings. I still have Pixel 3 as a backup which I like very much except for battery life and swelling issue. The size and weight of Pixel 3 was just right. Pixel 4A5G is a little large for my taste. Seems to be about the same size as a Nexus 6, the phone that onboarded me to Google Fi. I gave up a great LG Nexus 5 for that one. As for 5G I just don't notice much, if any difference compared to all of my previous Google phones. Those are my impressions after 5 days of 4A5G use.

Big Handset

Using Pixel since Pixel 1 April 26, 2021

Great phone! I have big hands and will probably not get a phone this large next time. Would have been nice to keep the front-facing wide angle that was on Pixel 3, and I'd have liked to see wireless charging. But handset is well made and runs great. Video recording seems much better than my prior Pixel 3 which stuttered. I'd have not bought this if it did not have fingerprint unlock, which is why I didn't buy Pixel 5. The 5G could be good, not sure it was worth the extra expense yet nor if I will keep this handset long enough for 5G to be very prevalent or have apps that need the 5G, but I have seen the radio report 5G coverage.

Getting average speed in a 5G City...not impressed

Anonymous May 10, 2021

Like the phone, not seeing great speeds or an improvement going from an S9 to Pixel 4a 5g. Losing connection to the network and having to restart my phone to get reconnected. So far the network combination of T-Mobile, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular is lack luster compared to Xfinity/Verizon. If it doesn't improve in the coming weeks, I'll probably go back to Xfinity for the unlimited...significantly cheaper and faster.

Impossibly brittle

Bryan June 3, 2021

This phone is made with the slickest, flimsiest materials known to mankind. It immediately broke within hours of owning it. Get the most epic case on the market if you intend on purchasing this phone
