Great phone

Stacyg February 22, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Google Pixel 6 phone for my daughter. We love it so far. It was easy to set up. It's pretty self explanatory and easy to use. There is a ton of storage space for apps and pictures. The picture quality with the camera is amazing.

Most definitely an upgrade.

Jumped from a Pixel 5 5g to this guy and getting the phone from the Google store was a bit troublesome, compared to years past.As far as hardware, and software, it's the best device running Android 12, no doubt. Had some playtime with the 12 beta on my P5 for a few months so I was ready for the jump. The price for this device is perfect, almost a steal. 5 years of monthly security updates and 3 years of OS updates makes it.. really the Dream Google phone in my humble opinion.Coming from a Nexus guy- that says alot.

Loving It!

Paulette December 16, 2021

I have been a Pixel fan since I had a Pixel 2. I love how my new phone takes beautiful pictures. The editing options are fun. I especially like the eraser feature. I also like how easy it is to use. As a Google user, I like having my phone and my Pixel Chromebook mesh. I can pull up any document, email, etc., on either and know that they work together so any info or work is saved to both. Very happy and pleased.

Mixed Bag

crescentdave November 17, 2021

1. Transfer of info: cable didn't work, bluetooth intermittent, did not transfer some significant info including Pixel 2xl device contacts and data on 3rd party apps. Relative grade? Apple: 5, Pixel: 2 2. Battery: you have to hang in there while the battery adapts to your use. It was shockingly bad at first: the Pixel 2xl was superior. They're about the same now. As everyone reports: charging is slow. Doesn't affect me, because I have it on charge overnight. If I needed a bridge charge, 30 minutes to a 50% charge would be sufficient. 3. I like the screen. I like the 90Hz refresh. I'm fine with their adaptive brightness-I think it's better than iphone's 13. I wish it were brighter for sunny days. 4. I like the main camera, the 2x zoom and the ultrawide (which is not "ultra" wide). Pictures are crisp and clear. Saturation

Great features

MacGyver04 December 19, 2021

Love the phone. Has an absolutely great camera and feature set. Only small complaint is I'm having some issues with Bluetooth sound quality with older bluetooth speakers/systems. Not sure if it's specific to this mod l or any flagship running later versions.

Very good but could be better

Edomeowdo December 17, 2021

Games often close themselves. None of my games can be optimized. Nightsight takes a little too long for me to stay still so the picture is often fuzzy. Bring back 2 gesture and vibrate shortcut. Quick tap only works when my phone is unlocked. The buttons in games don't match the actual input location on the screen, the button is a but left of the actual area the button should be. So tapping the button does nothing but tapping right of the button does.

So far so good

Peter December 2, 2021

Pretty happy so far. Battery life is good. I'm not sure about the camera. I wish it had more options and the new Android is taking some getting used to. Google maps traffic it's impossible to see because the lines are so thin. In general I was wish it was more customizable.

Good, but some things bother me

Longy December 19, 2021

It's a huge upgrade from my S9, so I'm happy about that, but it's definitely not as customizable. I cannot change the size or look of my clock on my lock screen. I can't change the buttons (or swipe) around (I'm used to the back button being on the right). My list of apps HAVE to be in alphabetical order, which is super annoying. I'm not a fan of the circle design when you lump your apps together on your home screen, but it's not that big of a deal. I think the old Google pixel had the search bar NOT on your home screen, which was great. I think you had to swipe left and the search bar was at the top, but it's been so long ago that I could be wrong. (Before the update on the original Google pixel). I love Google and it's processing though. The camera is soooo nice. The editing tools are great too. Google's storage is awesome. I just wish there were more customizable options.

It's fine for the price

tystonge January 16, 2022

I bought a regular Pixel 6. Device is fine for the price, but isn't worth a penny more. Battery life is good, and the dictation works pretty well but does miss sometimes. I think the camera is the biggest let down. The depth of field leaves something to be desired. I thought this was the year Google knocked it out of the park, but like I hope every year, maybe next year they will get it right...

Like my 5 much better

Anonymous December 27, 2021

The finger print scanner is very slow and does not work most of the time, unless You're hands perfect clean and warm, clearly only tested in an office. The fingerprint scanner on the back in the previous models is much better. You can activate it with your index finger while holding in your hand. It doesn't require turning a light on the screen, it's instant and it works with hands that might be dirty . Also for a non XL this thing is too big
