I loved my A-series earbuds and wanted to replace them with a brand new pair. These came shrink-wrapped new in box! Very happy with this purchase, a fraction of the cost of the new Google earbuds.
Love them! Pros: They feel very light in my ears. So light I almost forget I have them in!! The google voice assistant is so awesome The sound is really good, I immediately turned on the "bass boost" in the settings. The case is small and very smooth so felt fine in my pants pocket Bluetooth worked fine on my phone, tablet and laptop. Switching was easy. Cons: I miss the volume controls on the earbuds (the previous model had them) but I can use the phone volume controls or use the google assistant.
Quite possibly the best earbuds I've had in a very long time. Here's a bit of background on me - I'm a medical student, so I spend a substantial amount of time studying. If I'm not studying, I'm likely working out. In the last 2 years, I have tried at least 6 different bluetooth earbuds and headphones for my various activities. I have very small ears, so it's difficult to find buds that will fit comfortably in my small ears for hours on end (sometimes my study sessions will go 6 hours in a sitting), and stay inside my ears without me constantly having to push them back in. I have tried all the major brands (Samsung, Anker, Sony, Bose). I wasn't dead set on my earbuds having active noise cancellation because I have the Bose headphones for that. My goal was to find comfortable fitting earbuds that I did not have to keep babysitting. After trying out every single Samsung option (I have a Galaxy S22), I decided to give the Google Pixel buds a try. I am very pleased with the fit - they are comfortable and not too big in my ear (I dislike the style of buds that protrude out of the ear), they also have a very small and useful wing tip that helps stabilize the position while inside your ear. I wore them while studying (4 hour session), gave it a quick 15-minute charge, and wore them for another 2.5 hours as I ran the treadmill, did burpees, and lifted weights. The entire time, I did not adjust them at all, and they stayed snuggly inside my ear. Few controls through the app, including bass boost and other equalizer components. Good sound quality, nice feel to the case, and not too sensitive to touch controls. The most recent Samsung buds I tried were awful for my ears despite all the positive reviews. Of course, everyone's ears are shaped differently, but they are hands down the best buds I have come across in the past 2-3 years.
So, after gawking at my Google News for months, I thoroughly read reviews and pre-ordered a pair of the new Pixel Buds A-Series. Fast forward to yesterday when they came in the mail. First off, you can tell that they are cheap because they are noticibly lighter then my old Pixel Buds 2 were. The interior of the case is a very glossy white, which makes them look more expensive despite what I just said. I am very glad they came with 3 different eartip sizes, I put the large ones on right away and they actually fit in my ears very comfortably and don't ever even feel close to falling out. The microphone works way better than in the Buds 2 because so far whenever I say "Hey Google" they respond most of the time and if they don't, tapping on the earbud works great as well. I had issues with both those things on the Buds 2, so I am very pleased that was improved upon. I was talking on the phone while walking this morning and they worked quite well and both me and the other person heard each other clearly. The thing I had a ton of aggravation with the Buds 2 was the constant cutouts and connection issues (usually when walking out of a building) that made it so that the only way I could use them was with one earbud only. With the new Pixel Buds A, that problem is fixed and I am very excited about that. The Google Pixel Buds 2 had one sensor in one earbud that picked up the Bluetooth connection and relayed it to the other bud, which is why they were so bad. The new Pixel Buds A-Series have a sensor in each individual earbud that connects directly with that phone itself. This alone makes the A-Series way better than the Buds 2 in my opinion. The sound does occasionally cutout for a second or two when I stop at a traffic light around other cars, but it is rare and so infrequent and brief that it's not even an issue, I'd say it's no different than any other Bluetooth earbuds you can buy. I also know that my phone only has Bluetooth 4.2 instead of 5.0, which is what the Pixel Buds A uses, so that's what I attribute that to. I found the adaptive sound feature counterproductive though, the first walk I took with them, that sound would go from blaringly loud to too quiet every few seconds, so I just disabled this feature. I cannot yet comment on the battery life because this is only the second day I've had them, but I really love these new Pixel Buds A and I say if you need a quality pair off earbuds, go for it.
I've purchased this item several times; they have good sound and performance, fit in my ear without falling out all the time. Hold a decent charge. Pretty quick to charge the case. This was one of the best prices I've seen for a new set. Highly recommend!
that only bad this is that you can still heard all around you
These earbuds paired easily with the Google Pixel 10 phone, and provide great audio quality and sound.
These are the easiest ear buds to connect to a Google Pixel. My last pair lasted me about 4 years with being accidental mistreated. I have dropped and kicked them to where the ear buds fall out multiple times and they still worked great. over time they started losing charge and one had a low volume but still usable. I am hoping these last me another 4 plus years.
Its not what the picture shows, and every time I connect to my phone and put them on they disconnect. which I have to start the process back over to connect. The case is cheap with a string attached to it.
Complaints from the person that I was talking with... can't hear what I am saying. One person said "they are worthless... throw them out". I missed return deadline so will follow this recommendation. Definitely don't recommend. Used on a Pixel 9. This is the second pair that I have had that have been totally unsatisfactory and a total waste of money.
