I've spent years going to Sonic just for their crushed ice. But not any more! Wow! This machine lives up to and exceeds my expectations. I set it up next to my desk (I work at home) and given it claims to produce up to 33 pounds of crushed ice a day, I am not running out any time soon. It has that awesome mouthfeel quality I crave in Sonic ice - soft and crunchy, and hits the spot no matter what I put it in. Sometimes I just eat it as is, like a slushie. You cannot go wrong with this awesome machine, and it is QUIET! I have a small aquarium nearby and the water from my aquarium is much louder than this ice machine. Whisper quiet. That was a bigger surprise to me than anything else.
Well this is the second time around 😁. I didn't know that I couldn't use filtered water from my Britta water pitcher., that needed a new filter. I will never do that again. I didn't see., instructions about filtered water on none of the warnings. That's why I used the Britta...well it stop working the third time,. Now this upgrade definitely said no FILTERED WATER. So I will be following the directions to the letter. So Now .,I have to buy a Britta water filters for my Britta and purifierd water or distilled water. WOW 😲 I mess that one up. That's was a wasted of $89.00 plus another $300.00 for the upgrade trying to make ice.!!!! And $19.00 for Britta water filters. It's hard trying to keep up with the JONES'S.... GOOD LUCK!!!!
This countertop nugget ice maker puts out quite a lot of ice. It came packaged very well to protect from damage during shipping, including a blue film over the stainless steel. It is not small, but it is not large. It is very well-made, on the heavier side, it is very durable. It also came with a very nice sized scoop an instruction manual. It makes great ice that does not have an aftertaste. It is much quieter than I anticipated and I really like the one press self cleaning feature. It is very sleek and modern and looks nice with all of my other stainless appliances. It is very easy to use. This is excellent especially for families because ice trays just take up too much room in the freezer. I have looked at many other models and this gives you the best bang for your buck. It would really make a nice gift as well.
This nugget ice maker is fantastic and fast! I did the recommended self cleaning step before the initial use. I love the convenience this machine provides making crunchy small ice nuggets for water bottles or drinks at home.
It’s super cute and convenient we live off grid so this is great to have ice back up and because I make too many coffee drinks yum so yes it’s great and easy to use
I'm in love with this ice maker. I have sonic ice anytime I want it at my fingertips.
quiet which is nice really makes ice within 10min. definitely a recommended buy. i love it. sonic ice at home yippy
This mf is the best ice maker I have ever had in my life it’s truly amazing fast and efficient
Unit is very heavy, which is a good thing. Came fully assembled, I did wash all the parts first before use. You need to use specific types of water a list is included. I used bottled drinking water and I added about 32 oz and that made 2/3 of the fill bucket of ice. My first batch took about 1 1/2 hours. My only issue is there is a red wire under the area that the ice pushes out from, I'm a bit concerned if water gets inside this area, hopefully it won't harm the machine the red wire stops the back wall from being completely enclosed properly.
It makes a decent amount of nugget-style ice and the texture is nice and chewable, which is a big plus. It also looks good on the counter and isn’t too bulky. That said, it does require a bit of upkeep and it can get a little noisy while running. The bin also fills up unevenly, so it’s not totally “set it and forget it.” It also takes a good amount of time to actually make ice, so you’ll need some patience if you’re starting from empty. Overall, it’s a solid option if you really like pebble ice, just be prepared for a little maintenance, some noise, and slower ice production
