"Revolutionized my POV shots! The GoPro Bite Mount offers an exhilarating and immersive perspective for hands-free action. A must-have for extreme sports enthusiasts."
Doesn't restrict your breathing at all, breathe through your nose and/or spread your lips while clenching your teeth to breathe through your mouth (similar to wearing a mouth guard during combat sports). Leash will interfere with paddling while surfing, I've never had it come out of my mouth. In muay thai and boxing they teach you not to keep your jaw loose when taking a hit, same rule applies here, it won't fall out. For the Hero 12 Black, the floaty is enough to keep it floating even with the bite mount on. The camera stays secure while paddling and surfing but often swivels during a wipe out so it's a good idea to get a feel for the correct position and adjust accordingly. Do not attach the bite mount directly to the camera, make sure you use the middle piece. There's a lot of force hit the camera during a wipeout (I don't surf anything bigger than 5 feet) and the middle piece allows it to swivel. Without the middle piece the stress can break the bite mount itself or the attachments at the bottom of the camera; about to order a couple of replacements. It's great to hand the hands free and works well for surfing but expect wipeouts to wear it out over time.
This mount was awesome it is a must buy for surfers but the only thing is the lil metal thing at the end snapped off which was kinda a bummer as the mount cost a bit so just a bit of feedback for GoPro there, but don't let yourself get put off by that.
Really comfy to use. Not afraid to wipeout hard with it, nice padding so protects my teeth during said wipeouts. Used it with my hero 11 and have gotten some epic shots. However mine broke between the mouth peace and camera holder. It still in use, but only held together by the silicon around the plastic. So a little short lifespan on the mouthpiece for me. Barely a month.
Very comfortable but the camera holder broke within 5 months
Sounds like an useless, and very risky, accessory for use during sport activities… if you fall with this in mouth you can say « bye bye » to your front teeth and may be more
I practice trampoline, specifically trampwall. I dropped from a 6 foot wall onto my back on the trampoline with mp Hero 13 and tho mount immediately snapped. The plastic just could not stand very much up/down force.
I've been using it for a couple weeks now. In 2-3 foot surf the piece snapped off and cut my face. Very fragile. Will not last long and could cut you.
Mount snapped in my mouth whilst surfing. Didn't even hit anything just pulled out through back of wave and the mouthpiece snapped. Have tried to contact gopro support and now they have stopped responding. I have gopro subscription. Shocking.
I went surfing with the gopro mouth support , and it broke on my first session using it. I reported the situation to the gopro and they didn't even answer me after many attempts. I'm disappointed.
