GoPro Pro 3.5mm Microphone Adapter for Select HERO Cameras

works great, adds external audio to my gopro 11 black mini, and charges at the same time.

Despite having the media of case, I needed this to use goooro 8 black in a different case designed for vlogging that has a T ring adapter to allow attachment if the GoPro to an autocue setup. Works well and fits snug. Only criticism is the stiffness of the cable. I think after related uses this will eventually snap. Could do with either being a little more flexible or just slightly longer to it's not under such tension.

I have really enjoyed everything I have bought that is GoPro. Wasn't sure at first but picture, quality, and sound has not let me down yet. Would recommend to anyone looking for a very multifunctional camera. As for the adapter. It works exactly as advertised. Perfect!!!

This works great for a helmet mounted microphone but I would like to have a more sturdy connection to the camera, something that mounts a little more solidly because it can work loose on the outside of a helmet with the wind and movement. Some sort of locking system would be great. Same thing on the 3.5mm jack as well, that can work loose after a year or so of use. I use this everyday, it's a mandatory part of my kit.

I run this to get better sound streaming ball games. Just prior to adding the external mic I swapped to the magnetic connector door for power via external battery and to minimize issues during wet weather. This does NOT work with those connectors. I was forced to go to a door with pass through USB. I would like to see this directly off a magnetic connector.

For me, the first press of QC works as expected--records audio from the external mic just fine. I end the clip with another press of QC. But if the camera is not power-cycled before the next press of QC, the second and any subsequent clips using QC, do not record any audio through an external mic. I have found this does not affect recording without a mic, which works fine, but low quality audio in that configuration is why I'm trying to use the external mic. After the initial QC with external mic, if I power the camera before pressing record (so not using QC capabilities) audi records fine. This is inconvenient compared to the one-press of QC and after a clip requires either careful use of the on/off button or you have to look at the camera to know if it's on or has turned off by itself before you press record/QC again.

I moved to a insta 360 because of gopros hacky gadgets for audio. It would have been great if the usbc port on the 13 handled audio. . . but instead we have to bulk it up with accessories that completely defeat the purpose of a gopro in the first place.

I have bought this adapter and it was working fine for some time and now its completely not working never show input mics when attached via adapter. completely waste of money.

This mic adapter has been rendered useless on the GoPro 9 after an update, I have the new 9 and did the update immediately, then received the adapter a few days later and found out it didnt work, the audio options have been taken out of the menu and now replace with mod instead of audio. They have been promising a fix since September of 2020, still nothing, sucks.

The adapter worked great for 3 days on the 4th it worked part of the time. Now the camera wont even recognize when it is plugged in. I messed with the plug trying to get it to make better contact because it seemed loose (I was 50 mile back in the back country)messed it up bad enough that I wouldn't even bother to return it. Oh well I guess I will just write it off
