My original GoPro inderwater housing leaked on a recent dive. It was a relief to be able to find a replacement at a great price with fast shipping.
Very easy to use! Gives me peace of mind having it.
The extra protection on the camera is great especially underwater. I just don't feel safe with my go pro exposed so this cover is perfect for that. And also it includes a skeleton backdoor so if it's not under water, this is great because you can still have protection and access the back screen. Nice job go pro.
The best way to describe this gem of a recording device is "effective"... Many years of underwater video photography I have established and never have I had a piece of equipment that is as easy or reliable as the Hero 9 and its water proof case .Add some effective lighting and you can pull some exciting, consistently useful video footage. Everything has limitations but I've yet to see where they lie in this remarkable setup of camera and housing .way to go "GOPRO ".
Functions as expected. It is a little pricy.
Bonjour, Dans la description du contenu, il est précisé "housse de protection", mais celle-ci n'est pas dans la boite reçue est-ce normal ?? Good morning, In the description of the contents, it says "protective cover", but it is not in the box received, is this normal??
The lens was cracked by a rock or pebble thrown up and it did it's job, protected the H9B but it also cracked the lens on the enclosure. Since it's not replaceable I had to replace the entire enclosure. There's a similar protective cover for the Hero 8 that has replaceable lens, the H9's case should that the same capability.
Does the job, records solid video and takes photos. What it doesn't do well is consistency. Had an issue where it would keep restarting itself until I just hard reset the camera. Now have an issue with the SD card reading full but has no images on it so I have to reformat the card to be able to use it. Problems just keep popping up which has not been an ideal first experience….
This case feels very solid and kept my camera safe while dirt biking in the Rockies without overheating. But coming from the Hero 4 to this version was disappointing. First, the latch has a double latching switch that does not operate smoothly and is difficult to open, requiring two hands and precise fingers - i.e. you have to take your gloves off. Every time I open it it makes a cracking noise and I'm afraid I broke it. My former case always worked fine without this, even underwater. You also can no longer navigate all the functions/menus using just the buttons, which is mostly the camera's fault, but it means opening it up more frequently which, as I mentioned, is difficult, and also risks letting dust in and compromising the seal. I was also very disappointed that you can't buy a replacement lens for the case like you could for the hero 4. When I'm one a week long dirt biking trip, it's possible I might scratch the lens badly and now the only option is to carry spare cases. Last due to the sheer size of it, it's really difficult to get tight enough not to get bumped out of position and I suspect it's not far off from requiring so much tightening to stay in place, that the plastic will crack. A redesign there is probably due (larger thumb grip on the screw & maybe some small teeth on the joints.) In many ways, I feel GoPro leaned way too hard into “the average” use and abandoned dirt bikers and the ACTION part of action cams.
Paired up with phone and cloud. Take on holiday and first thing camera wanted to do was an update. Allowed it to do update and now will not pair. Keeps saying need to turn off and back on. After numerous attempts still not pairing with phone but is recognised. Will have to wait until back home and get it checked out.
