This is a very good mild dip. It spreads right on up on my chips and it is delicious. Makes a great snack or a meal adding Chili with beans and ohhh so good. Spread on anything like fries , tator tots or use it cooking. No matter how you use it it want dissapoint. I will say again it is mild so if you need more heat add some more heat.
I love using this cheese on nacho's. I add shredded chicken or small bits of steak (seasoning however you like, I use fajita seasoning) and my family devours it. You can add peppers, lettuce and tomatoes if you like. They also make this cheese in a hot variety. It has a red lid. Its hard to find but is worth the look if you like nachos with a kick. I am not so fond of the HOME style variety, its a little different.
As soon as I found this item, I was hooked the best queso I've ever found at a grocery store. I love it. The hot is a bit too spicy for me. The jalapeño is perfect. It's quite mild. I sometimes add a little Frank's red hot or Tapatio, but it can make a meal out of Tortilla chips and queso. It's that good.
I've tried a lot of store-bought quesos, but Gordo's Mild Queso Cheese Dip is the first one that actually has that authentic, creamy texture I crave. It's smooth, buttery, and melts perfectly every time without being thick or gloppy. The flavor is great—it's mild enough for the whole family but still tastes high-quality. Whether you're dipping chips or drizzling it over tacos, it's a total crowd-pleaser. This 16 oz tub is the perfect size to keep in the fridge for a quick snack!
This is the best store bought Queso Dip I have ever had. Many store bought queso dips have a chemical overtone, but Gordo's tastes really fresh. It is easy to melt and tastes great on chips. I also like using it as a topping for a chicken and taco rice casserole that I make.
Even better than the original! My family has enjoyed this brand for years. We love it on rice, Mexican foods, dip for tortilla chips, etc. This “mild” version has a perfectly enhanced flavor and is not spicy in any way. Absolutely delicious!
This dip is very thick, too thick for chips. It is mild, but it has a kick. I combined it with some spicy salsa Verde that I had in hopes of coming up with a more mild and fluid version of that. The result was very good, but way too spicy for me, so I will now save it for my friend who seriously enjoys spicy food. If you are looking for a more conventional cheese dip, I would suggest going with Tostitos or one of those brands. This is different, and very good quality, though, and I think it would make really good nachos.
This was absolute garbage. Pasteurized processed garbage. It didn't even taste like cheese. But Walmart pasteurized processed cheese slices are 100 times better than this garbage. Very disappointed. Bought it for a New Year's party and it was embarrassed.
Folks, I don't know who's writing these glowing reviews, (AI maybe?), but this cheese dip has no flavor. Zilch. If you blindfolded me %26 had me taste test this, I wouldn't even know it was cheese. The description stating it's with jalapenos is laughable; it's so bland %26 mild my Yorkipoo could eat it. Absolutely waste of money.
As soon as I broke the seal and opened it, the cheese itself reeked of plastic. I thought maybe the container was just overwhelming and maybe it wasn't the cheese. Heated it up seperate from the container and it 100% taste like plastic. Not sure what these reviews are about. Maybe YT or old people with no taste buds.
