I purchased this to fix rugs that were slipping because the backing had deteriorated. I cut it to size for the rug and attached it per the directions. So far it has done just what I needed it to do and the rug does not slip. I also purchased a shorter version for another rug and it is working well, too. a great fix overall.
Yes! It totally did its job. I am confident in Gorilla products. This one was no different. Taping the backing in place is a necessary step or else the mat will stay in place and the rug will still slide around as it wills on top of it. That is the nature of this particular rug I got. That's a review for another time and place miss Ree Drummond! 😄 Thanks Gorilla.
We have been using this rug pad for about 2 weeks and are very happy with it. We placed it under a thin, washable area rug, which we kept tripping over. it is keeping the rug from slidding and turning up at the corners. We were considering getting rid of this otherwise very nice rug. We would recommend this product.
I bought the 2‘ x 10‘ mat for a new foam mattress that was sliding around too easily on the adjustable bed frame that we bought with the mattress. We cut the mat in half and put each 1/2 in the middle at the edge of the bed frame on both sides. This gorilla, Matt is doing an excellent job of keeping the mattress in place when we get in or out of bed and even when we use the adjustable features of the bedframe.
I've tried it a few different skid pads and rubbers. This is the first one that's working well. The grip is excellent. I have a wood floor with a 5 x 7 carpet. It's easy to cut the size and really keeps in place.
Ok I bought one on sale that was 60% of the rug size. It's working fine I walked all over to seat it good to stop slip and works. The package was labeled restock and was sealed. Whatever that means
it does not stay in place and as I was reading you had to get some rug grippers for each end for it to stay in place. well I was led to believe that once I bought this I put it down that it was stay in place but that is not true
Absolutely a pungent smell to product. Super tough to get out of tight plastic bag so makes returning impossible. Arrived within timeframe. Product is definitely bigger than needed actually would need to be trimmed a bit IF I USE. AM HAVING TO AIR OUT STILL 5 DAYS LATER. Do not recommend. May toss since obviously they can't go back into their original packaging to be returned due to odor.
I am an avid fan of Gorilla glue and all gorilla Tapes. They are the best! BUT, I was so disappointed when I cut my gorilla mesh to keep from sliding g. I have always bought other mesh and black strips to keep me from tripping. I'm 77. These mesh rug didn't have one bit of stickiness to them which I thought strange. I cut my 3 orders of this up to go under 2 long rugs for halls and several bathroom rugs and kitchen. Then my cat who had “Zoomies” that night, I found a long hallway rug all askew. And even the smaller rugs slip. I am getting ready to order these triangle and black strips to hold doen my rigs. Already cut, so cant tske back. Just warning ya. What happened , Gorilla?
they don't work!! they don't keep the rug from moving. I all most fall because the rug moved from under my feet. I have hard wood flooring, and I put them under my rugs in the hallway, and I finally had to remove them all together. It really 2 way tape them down all the way around the rugs. not a good buy on my part. now they sit folded up in my office.
