GOTRAX GKS Electric Scooter for Kids Ages 6-12

We do a lot of camping and some of the families we camp with brings electric scooters for their kids and my kids sometimes feels a bit left out. When I ran across this scooter while shopping for other camping items I decided to pick one up for our next camping trip. It being a kids scooter I honestly wasnt expecting much but to my surprise it turned out to be a very well built scooter. Assembly was very quick and straightforward in fact I let my seven-year-old do most of the work. All I did was tighten the screw after he was assembled. The scooter operation is very different from any other scooter Ive seen or used. It controlled using two buttons on the base of the scooter with your foot instead of your hands. This does take a bit getting used to but after a while it becomes more natural. The scooter speed is perfect for young kids and it can handle and adult like myself with no issues. I was able to take it around the block a few times to test before handing it over to my kids. So far Ive been very happy with the scooter and the only thing I would like changed is adding a folding handle for easier transport.

7 year old daughter loves. It took some Time but she got it figured out. I let her practice riding it in the house. You have to kick start with front on front button then place other front on back button. Perfect speed for kids. Easy to assemble. Easy to steer. Not too heavy while riding but a little too heavy for kids to carry alone.

My 6 year old daughter LOVES this. Pros: - Easy to use--there's a front 'on' button and an 'accelerator' button on the board. Just step on those and away she goes. - The weight is up to 125lbs. - Long battery life. My daughter plays all afternoon. Cons: - Doesn't fit my husband! hahaha

This scooter is a lot of fun. Actually I am a senior, not a kid. But my size is small. My scooter is for neighborhood shopping. The speed is OK , safe enough. The brake control needs a little practice, its because when you step on the rear cover to create friction to slow down, you might lose some balance, at the same time, your back foot has to stay away from the rear senor is disengage the motor. But its not difficult. It has about an hour of ride, maybe 45 mins. Going up a slope is not quite possible, my weight is 135 lb, may be for a kid is possible. Oh, the suggested weight is actually 120 lb. Some website say 130 lb is over stating . I think for all scooter riders, uneven surfaces must be very careful. I flew off the scooter because I ran over a small piece of thick glass, hardly noticeable.

So for so good, I bought this in replace of a really crappy one. It does pickup some speed. It’s too difficult for my 6 year old but his brother loves it 8 years old

My sons love it since they don't have to kick their old scooters. But the blue version battery does died after 2 times returning it. However, my other son got it in red and no battery issues with that one.

Nice little scooter only thing is 1 of the 3 weeks got never did work sent it back then 1 of the 2 working ones did the same thing. Wouldn't charge because plugged in it was saying fully charged when dead.

I brought this for my son and daughter they greatly appreciate it.Also it arrived as it said on the date so I will like to thank yall

It’s not foldable. And weight limit is wrong. Here in product description is written “The Xoom kick scooter is perfect for kids ages 6-12 up to 154lbs”. So I thought it’s good for a person weighing 127lbs. But the user manual I got with the product says in the warning section “Never exceed the 121 lb(55 kg) maximum load rating”. So now the person with around 130lbs it’s useless. Please get your facts correct unanimously at all places!

I placed this order on Dec 19 with an expected delivery date of Dec 26th. It wasn't shipped until Dec 24th. I didn't get it until 12/31. I had to contact go Trax and Walmart multiple time. Then Gotrax messages today with a sarcastic response of your order has arrived. I wish walmart would stop 3rd party vendors from selling on their site...
