I think this bike is awesome! Maybe the price is a little steep (but cheap compared to other mid drive!). But this one is great, I tried a bike from Aventon (soltera 2), which was a hub-driven bike, it's a night and day difference with this mid-drive bike. The range is pretty good and it takes a minute to get used to riding the middrive the motor has a protection in place to make sure you don't break the chain. It cuts the power when shifting for about a second so the chain can set properly. This took me a second to understand, but now that I am used to it, its much easier. One negative thing is that you can't use the throttle from 0mph. That's my biggest gripe with this. I wish they would override that. You can however press the M button, then instantly the down button, and it will move the bike in walk mode. I haven't tried doing this riding it yet, but it could be a workaround. Also, this bike is heavy af so if you live on the second floor or higher, you'll get a workout!

Great Bike! In hilly Pittsburgh the mid drive helps power up steep hills (I've been up 20% climbs and long 10 %) and the mid drive in lower gears doesn't abandon you the way hub drives would. Also it has a shifting detector so the mid drive doesn't chew through your gears. Overall very fun!
