Gourmet Garden Lemongrass Stir-in Paste, 4.0 oz Tube

I love Gourmet Garden products. I started using the Lemongrass paste a few months ago and love the flavors it brings. I went to buy some today but my Loblaws was out of it so I have to look again in a couple of days as I need it for a lemongrass coconut sauce for some sea bass. It, along with several other products, is now a staple in my kitchen. One reason I love it is because it doesn't have any garlic or onions in it ... myhusband can't eat either and too often I see a product I like and can't use it.

We use the lemongrass paste in Tom Kha Gai soup and it works perfectly. I do find the paste to be a bit on the salty side, but it's easy enough to adjust the seasoning elsewhere.

I find fresh lemongrass to be a huge waste of effort and time for little flavour. By the time it arrives in Canada the stalks are dry and hard. I really like your lemongrass paste! Gives a great tangy lemon flavour to thai recipes

This could have 5 stars if it didn't have whey as an ingredient. How critical is whey? Without, this is an incredible vegan product. Please consider making this vegan......then it appeals to EVERYONE.

I was going to purchase this but noticed that it contains whey. Very disappointed!

It's lemon grass paste - why does it need to contain milk? I would love to use it regularly but with an anaphylactic allergy to dairy in our family it's a no-go. And the product is a no-go for vegans too.

I had been a regular user of this product in various herbal combinations until I was getting seriously ill. Having a celiac issue with Dairy. I contacted a supervisor at Mc Cormick because there wasn't clarity of Milk in the production of these tubes. I wasn't taken seriously, and was told by this supervisor "that it wasn't that serious for them to list it Clearly as an allergen in bold so consumers wouldn't accidentally get dosed." It matters.

Very disappointing.Why is there sop much salt?? That's predominant taste rather than lemongrass. Unbelievable that you have beverage recipes using this. Nobody wants salty lemongrass lemonade or salty smoothie!
