The base is very stable holding the feeder. Easy to set up and clean.
Works fine except mine doesn't clamp onto any surface. So using it takes some practice holding it down and turning the crank at the same time. But don't push too hard or else whatever you're grating will end up stuck. Clean up is simple though so that's nice. And I don't have to worry about cutting off a finger into whatever I'm making
Wouldn't suck to counterafter first time. Barrel that turns is floppy !!!
It is hard to turn and does not have suction to stay on the counter. It moves all over the place. The food slicer part mushes the food instead of slicing.
The suction application did not create a strong hold and therefore caused a solid mess in the kitchen. It unexpectedly had an extremely light weight to it and made it feel more like a toy rather than a kitchen tool. But if you have lots of patience and extreme caution, this cheese grater can work for you.
The quality of this cheese grater was beyond poor. First it would not stick to the counter, the handle broke when we tried to grate parmesan cheese . It is flimsily built out of thin plastic. I purchased this item for a family member because I have a rotary cheese grater that works flawlessly. When I saw this one on the Walmart web page it appeared to be the same as the one I own. When I unboxed it I immediately realized it was not the same but figured that it should work. Bad assumption. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT.
There was no suction to keep the greater on the counter and the handle kept falling off. This was not quality material.
When it was assembled it would not function. The suction to keep it in place did not work and you could not turn the crank all the way around (the cylinder didn't fit) To shred what you wanted to shred
