GPX 55" DLED Ultra HD TV, TU5538B

I have spent HOURS, looking for a decent non smart TV.. Sceptre frequently come up. Samsung makes 'hospitality tvs' or so... And let me say, although I didn't get all of what I wanted, this tv is definitely all of what you need. I use my Samsung S24 ultra via hdmi cord for everything on this. So I have to factor in the limits of the cord as well, but The color quality of the screen is great. Greens pop very nicely. Minecraft looks very vivid, and the contrast of brights to dark areas is great as well. Built in speakers are weak for sure. But I use Bluetooth headphones to the phone, so it's not a deal breaker for me. The vga ports are a great inclusion so I can hook my n64/gamecube directky in without need for an hdmi converter. Overall, I am happy with the purchase. If you're on the fence, just buy it and try it. For a 'random non major brand' I have no major gripes.

This TV is exactly what I wanted. It is a dumb TV, so no spying from advertisers. It has a clear, crisp image, and the sound is usable as-is without a soundbar.

After having two brand names smart TVs that lasted five and a half years between the two of them. I wanted to go back to a regular old TV plug the cable in and be happy. I was thrilled when I found a non-smart GPX 55. I have a 32 inch GPX for years that has a beautiful picture and works wonderful. It's a delight not to have to enter your IP address set up an account put a credit card in give out all your personal information all the hassles of ads upgrades etc is no longer. I feel free!

This tv DOES NOT have a Computer VGA input as advertised... BUT, it is so hard to find a large, Non-Smart TV and that was my number one priority. So a bit disappointed when it arrived - the VGA as listed sure would have been nice since I planned on doing a direct swap out with my smaller TV, but now I'll have to get an adapter to convert my VGA to HDMI. The features listed on the box does not include VGA, so who knows why it is included in the posting. The sound is mediocre - connecting to better speakers is recommended, but the picture quality is very good. So if you don't need a VGA input, most users probably don't, and you want a great large screen NON-SMART TV, I would recommend this as 5 stars - I gave it a 4 because it wasn't as advertised with a VGA port.
