GPX Digital TV Tuner and Recorder (TVTR149B)

This DVR is simple to set up. Reception on the tuner is very good. I don't detect significant insertion loss when I watch broadcast TV passed through this DVR. It takes about 2GB to store an hour of content. There's no option for compressed recording. It's light on features but easy to use.

Works really good. Needs more instructions. After hooking it up to TV, turn on both TV and DVR and wait till it boots. A screen will appear choose English and wait until it loads the channels. Also, set the time zone using the MENU button. To program, go to the channel you want to record a show from and press EPG on remote. Scroll down the list to highlight the show you want and hit OK, If you are using an antenna, channels should come in clearer with this DVR. I think you'll be very happy with this DVR.

Does as advertised. Must be on 24/7 to use DVR function. The units' remote is poor at best and hard to use due to no back-lite buttons and very small and a number of ambiguous function labels.. BUT Logitech remotes support this unit, making control better with their remote. The units' remote (only) gets 2 stars. The on-screen menu and programming schedule is slow and antiquated, but gets the job done. Overall, for the price - if you need a antenna tuner for a video projector, you can't go wrong with this little unit.

I love this GPX Digital TV Tuner. It was very easy yo hook up, just screw in the antenna and hook up the supplied AV cable Left and Right Audio and Video out from the tuner in to the back of the TV. Hit language and ok to program it. I was very happy to see how many more stations I got after I Installed this. Very Happy!

I have tried other brands that fall way short of the GPX quality. The recording feature knows how many days are in a week! Picture is sharp; sound is synchronous and good. Looked again after purchasing and it was offered for $15 less.

The product could have had better instructions.. If you had no prior vcr dvd experience it would be quite confusing to set up. But the picture is good and so far I am pleased

Usually works but sometimes goes to the wrong channel or believes it is missing a recording memory drive. The device often ties up and must be rebooted.

It sometimes will not respond to my input. It eventually will reset and restart. Sometimes I have to unplug it and then plug it back in to reset. It’s happening more frequently now and I expect it to quit working entirely soon. When it was working well I enjoyed using it and it worked very well.

i paid extra for these to get away from ematic and it said i could get radio you cant get radio its just the same junkie ematic with a different face plate even the old remotes from my ematics work on them i will keep them since i bought the warranties which i know i will use but highly dissapointed more over on the product description wasnt correct never had that issue but will be leary on my future orders

This is the second DVR that I bought from Walmart the first ematic did not last a week this one the GPX has not lasted a month I'm getting staticaly green lines shooting across the picture I tried switching cables outlets nothing works now let's see how good Walmart return policy is
