[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we've been looking for a projector for the longest & this one is definitely better than we expected. Definitely blew our minds, we're so happy we moved forward with this purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are enjoying the product and resolution is good. Sound is not that high so may need Bluetooth speaker if you want higher volume
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 3 days ago. Blurry. ( If you make the top clear the bottom is blurry same with the middle and bottom.) Choppy. (Image quality is of the poorest quality I have ever seen in a projector.) I only used projectors 15 years ago until 5 years when I got a tv. I know the best projector was a Mitsubishi DLP 3000. It was 3000 lumens so when I saw this GPX projector was 5000 lumens I was excited. Not even a thought I bought it, it has been about five years since I bought one so I thought the technology must be better. I was wrong. I compared it to my Brookstone pocket projector which is a quarter the size and it puts this FOX to shame. Absolutely embarrassing. It is NOT 5000 lumens as I have a lux meter with conversions it is half that of the Brookstone. It says 1080p but it isn't even 720. On the box it says battery life is 7hr but when you open the manual it says that is in standby mode which means off. It really lasts 1.5 hrs. That's brand new so this time next year it won't last a full movie. I gave it 5 stars in hopes they don't remove the review. The first photo is a Brookstone projector The second is GPX as focused as it gets.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had mine for about 4 months and haven't had any issues with it. The picture is very clean and all the movies look crisp. I would say link it to a speaker of some kind but beyond that it is great for the price!
Well I was blindsided by the 5000 Lumens on the box. After plugging it in and straining to see the 90 actual lumens this produced, I turned off all lights and there it was! A solid picture… still very dim and no matter what changes I attempted it just kept falling short. I'll be returning it and continue looking for a short throw DLP with no less than 3000 ANSI lumens. Any ambient lighting with not allow for what amazing picture is hidden. Ease of use is nice! Bluetooth connection to our surround is solid! Other than the 90 misadvertised lumens it truly is with GPX's great reputation. If I can't find the projector I'm looking for then I'll settle for this.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little projector for the price. The Bluetooth actually works too! The menu options are easy but be prepared to buy extra cords to connect laptops and phones. The highest brightness setting isn't very bright but it's nice in a dark room. The speakers are pretty bad though. You will need external speakers but Bluetooth ones connect great. It doesn't get hot and isn't too loud. I wish the battery lasted longer unplugged but what can you do. It's pretty decent.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The projector is of reasonable quality based on the price paid to it. It's very easy to setup. The audio could have been better. The video seems to be fine. Watched a couple of movies and it was a good experience. Haven't tried the battery mode yet, but it was charging normally.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how everything is all in one box. The mini projector I had before, didn't have sound. So that's an upgrade for me! Nice and clear picture. I love all of the different options ie, Bluetooth, hdmi, memory card etc. I just wish it had a kick stand or something of that nature. I have to use different things to prop it up if the wall is higher or whatever the issue may be.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My sister bought this assuming it was Bluetooth, as in connection to anything that has Bluetooth, and well clearly she was wrong too because it only connects to speakers, and yeah I when I looked at the box it did mention this but let's be honest who's gonna read every word on a box that has a bunch of words so I did blame her for it. But you guys should add a *speakers only right under Bluetooth in front of the box so people know what their buying and as much as this would be a good tactic as to get customers to buy something for a said reason but it doesn't do said reason, is well the price. Meaning as more than likely you're getting a 74% return rate with the people that bought it thinking it was for Bluetooth and the other 26% is people who have money to spend or just don't know how to return something; and now that I think about it hopefully this had a return policy and whatnot. And but besides that is pretty decent assing you go out and but the extra cables you need if you don't have them already.
I got this as a Christmas present. Was excited to see the bluetooth connection. But I can't even connect my laptop via bluetooth, apparently it only connects to audio devices using BT. EXTREMELY disappointed as nowhere on the box does it indicate that it only connects to certain BT enabled devices.
