Our girl is 8 weeks old. She has suffered such gerd and is “colicky” basically all day and night. NOTHING appeases this child. We are first time parents and are exhausted from hours upon hours of screaming and fussies. Swaddles are a joke. Trying to get her to sleep doesn’t work. The stupid “5 s” method - HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA. I’m convinced that garbage is for robot babies. I purchased this swing on a whim. I figured if it didn’t work I would return it. Our daughter was a peeved by it the first time we set her in it. However within about 10 min she conked out. We were shocked. It works 8 out of 10 times. Tip to the wise - turn it on right when you set baby in it. Of course keep your hand on them so they are safe, and then buckle them. Our girl hates harnesses as well - car rides just enrage her. So I find that starting the swing ASAP is key to getting her relaxed. It’s easy to put together, it is small and fits in our small apartment and is easy to move around.
I can't even to begin to explain how much this swing has saved my busy mom life. I have a 8, 6 and 1 year old and I just had a baby. i needed a swing that would make the baby happy because i have to keep up with the house and other kids! since day one from hospital he sleeps in it comfortably (night and day) only to wake up for his feeding! I absolutely love this swing from all the features to the electric vibrating soother! ilIt is a bit expensive but if you have other kids like me it's definitely worth it!!!
I was in need of a second swing for office at work and went with this instead of the mamaroo (which we had at home). My newborn loved the graco so much that we decided to buy a second one for the house and get rid of the Mamaroo. The cry detection is a wonderful addition so we don't have to stop what we're doing and change the settings.
I bought the sense2 soothe for one grandchild, and mom was raving so much about it, I had to gift a second to another daughter for my next grandchild who's on the way! They say it's the best gift!
I bought the Sense2Soothe Baby Swing with Cry Detection, since I have 2 new great GrandBabies that I watch a few days a week. I love the multiple speeds, the calm classical music and the white noise on the swing. I especially like the cry detection where it automatically switches to a different rocking speed. But, better yet, the babies seem to really like it. It makes a little noise in the rocking mode, but the babies don't seem to mind at all and neither do I, since the babies like the swing so well. It is a little pricey, but at my age, it has really been worth it to me. My only regret is they've nearly outgrown it.
This is amazing! It does make some noise but it is amazing! We feel that every mom should get one bc the baby likes to be held and this does just that. Once the baby falls asleep, we stop the rocking. Save your money on other things to buy this!!!
This swing is great and does the job when the little ones just needs to be soothed. Definitely gives your arm/body a break when you’re facing your breaking point. Just remember that it is meant to soothe and not the solution to everything; hunger, diaper, general attention, your soul… got to give it to the little one.
I don't notice any real change in the device for cry reduction, although my 3 month old grandson really never cries. He just grunts! It may work better as he gets older! And, the device doesn't rock smoothly like a rocking chair. I don't like that about it, so if these were corrected, it would be worth the price. It is great for putting him in after a bottle if he hasn't burped well to be sitting in an inclined position, which is why I bought it! Im always sitting right beside him in case a burp or spit up comes up, this way he's not being held all the time or for long periods.
Was so excited about this swing and initially got even more excited about cry detection technology appearing to actually pick up on baby crying but it was short lived and over too quick. Bulky, not easy to move, and baby is still well under 18 let alone 22 pound range yet movements/speed slowing down drastically. Not convenient to change seating positions and baby is now aggravated when in swing.
I really like the swing options and the Birdie is pretty colored. However, the cry detection feature does not work I will be returning or replacing once I speak with customer service. Main point of purchase was for this feature. Completely bummed out!
